About us

Wyllie identifies and creates investment opportunities with broad benefits for this generation and beyond, protecting our legacy by allocating smart money to things that matter. Founded by the late Bill Wyllie in 1991, the company now operates under the direction of Bill’s wife Rhonda and children, Melissa Karlson and Luke Wyllie. We have always maintained a national perspective and flexible approach to the nature and location of investments. We see the detail in the big picture. Our world is experiencing a once-in-a-generation industrial revolution, with the convergence of automation technology and decarbonisation causing an unprecedented pace and scale of change. Our strategic positions and choice of fund managers reflect this transformation. The group presently holds investments both domestically and internationally, primarily as direct equity investments, managed funds and property.

This is a generational opportunity to reshape the Perth CBD and we are truly excited to be working with the State Government and Brookfield Properties to not only address the shortfalls of the current convention centre, but also to create a vibrant and active precinct that showcases Perth’s stunning natural attributes and rich cultural history.

How good does this look. This is could be the future of Perth's waterfront - with a world-class convention space front and centre to attract major events from around the world. Our Government is now evaluating the proposal by Wyllie and Brookfield, which would deliver a huge tourism and hospo boost in the heart of our city. It's a project that'll unlock a pipeline of construction jobs for West Aussies while diversifying our economy for years to come. We know the existing PCEC needs redeveloping - it's the oldest and smallest major convention space in Australia. This new hub will do exactly that - making space for an outdoor theatre on the Swan, as well as a premium hotel, housing and commercial opportunities. And it'll support our tourism industry, drawing visitors and boosting our economy for future generations.

We're delighted to announce that Wyllie have made a cornerstone investment in the Perth Surf Park.    Wyllie's strategic position reflects our commitment to ensuring the project is by the West, for the West. The delivery of a world-class leisure, entertainment and tourism destination for Perth with a compelling return profile is consistent with the company's investment approach. Continuing to support surfing in Western Australia, and having a positive, enduring impact on local communities, is also in keeping with their family ethos. Nicholas Edelman, Andrew Ross and Luke Wyllie recently chatted with John Stensholt from The Australian about the history of Aventuur, our projects planned for Perth and Auckland, and our mission to enhance physical and mental wellbeing across Asia-Pacific and North America through surfing.   Read the full article, here: https://lnkd.in/gxphm8Rp   📸: Clip Media #aventuur #wyllie #investment #realestate #westernaustralia #surfpark #community #perth #australia #westisbest

    NOMA* - Director + Architect

I’ve been fortunate to be involved in many projects at Hillarys Boardwalk over a twenty year period. Offering an interactive experience with the surrounding marine environment, Hillarys Boardwalk is a fabulous asset for the local community as well as wider population of Western Australia.    Extending on this, for the past two years we’ve been working on a base build alterations project within The Breakwater building, which I was involved in delivering while at Cox Architecture fifteen years ago. This project involves amalgamating a number of small food and beverage tenancies into one larger space to accommodate a new family orientated venue for Night Owl Entertainment.    Modifying a unique building located over water, within an operational retail complex presents a number of design, construction and compliance challenges. Three fitouts as well as a set of public toilets were demolished. A set of escape stairs have been relocated and a number of large structural braces have been modified. Working collaboratively with a great team in the form of Wyllie, Lease Equity, NightOwl Entertainment, Department of Transport, Northerly, Buckingham Re-Development Co.(BRDC), McDowall Affleck, BCA Consultants, ComplyWest and BHO Interiors it’s nice to see this project starting to take shape.   In the capable hands of Northerly Group base build alteration works are nearing completion which will allow Night Owl Entertainment’s fitout to commence. We’re looking forward to a new venue further strengthening and diversifying the family orientated offering at Hillarys Boardwalk in the not too distant future.
