As a proud supporter of Engineering Aid Australia and the Indigenous Australian Engineering School (IAES) program, it was a pleasure to attend this year's Communities Session and Graduation Dinner. The week-long IAES program seeks to provide First Nations youth with increased #education and #career #opportunities in #Engineering and #Technology. With approximately 1,000 students completing the IAES program to date, the program provides an exciting environment for Indigenous students to learn what Engineering is all about and discover how Engineers can benefit and improve our communities, to provide a forum for students to meet engineering role models and gain insights into the opportunities engineering can provide as a career. #EngineeredToGrow

It’s been almost one year since we farewelled two of the Royal New Zealand Navy’s former Inshore Patrol Vessels. Formerly HMNZS Rotoiti and HMNZS Pukaki, Babcock and the New Zealand Defence Force - in partnership with almost 30 local businesses across New Zealand - invested approximately $15 million into the local economy regenerating and modifying the vessels for their new home with the Irish Navy. We’re excited to hear the two vessels are now entering final sea trials with the Irish Navy before they enter full service conducting fisheries and Exclusive Economic Zone patrols among other maritime surveillance operations.
