On Wednesday the team in Western Australia kicked of celebrations for the Dampier to Bunbury Natural Gas Pipeline 40-year anniversary. Over 70 attendees from our Shippers and Customers joined us to celebrate in the lead up to this significant milestone on August 16th. An opportunity to recognise this wonderful achievement and the important relationships behind it – some even as old as the pipeline itself. #DBNGPBirthday #Pipeline #Turning40

Last week our SA Business Development team attended the Master Plumbers Association of South Australia Roadshow in Mount Gambier to share updates on our renewable gas projects, priority services program, latest rebate offers and engage in a general discussion on the industry in South Australia. Keileigh Marra from the Business Development team shared, “It’s always a joy to present the work happening at AGIG. This was the last Roadshow event for 2024 and the room was full of enthusiastic gas fitters and plumbers who were highly engaged and positive about their industry and the future of gas in Mt Gambier. They love their natural gas in Mount Gambier!” #industry #naturalgas #masterplumbers

We are proud to be a partner of The North East Water First Nations Art Prize. Last week at Hyphen Community Gallery in Wodonga a collection of the acquired works from the Art Prize, since its inception in 2017, was launched, "Land, Water, Country – Collected works from the North East Water First Nations Art Prize". Each work responds to the theme of “water” and its reflection on First Nations identity. As our project in Wodonga, on Bungambrawatha land, is now about to commence construction, our ties to water and the region have never been stronger. Hydrogen Park Murray Valley will use water and renewable electricity to generate renewable hydrogen. The renewable hydrogen will then be blended into the existing gas distribution network to deliver up to a 10% (by volume) renewable gas blend to approximately 40,000 residential and commercial gas connections and 20 industrial customers in Albury and Wodonga. This Art Prize has been made possible thanks to a partnership between North East Water and Murray Arts, burraja gallery, North East Catchment Management Authority, Department of Energy, Environment and Climate Action and Australian Gas Infrastructure Group (AGIG). This week in Victoria 17 high school teams battled it out for a place in the world finals of the STEAM Education H2 Grand Prix PRO organised by Horizon Educational. At AGIG we were proud sponsors of Catholic College Wodonga whose team of 5 travelled to Toyota Motor Corporation Australia’s Centre of Excellence in Melbourne to compete. Of the 17 teams that took part, Catholic College Wodonga took out first place for Victoria in what was a four-hour endurance race. Congratulations to the Catholic College Wodonga team and all who were involved – we are super pumped that you are representing Australia in the world Grand Final in Anaheim USA in November! It's been a pleasure to be part of the 2024 season as a sponsor of MasterChef Australia, showcasing 100% biomethane night after night on the MasterChef kitchen's stovetops. Seeing the future of gas (in the form of renewable biomethane) in action in Australia's most recognisable kitchen has showcased just how versatile, seamless and reliable this renewable energy is. The 2024 season of MasterChef Australia came to an exciting end last night with two finalists showing their cooking prowess under incredible pressure. Congratulations to Nat Wolf on being crowned MasterChef 2024, and to "Pezza" (aka Josh Perry) as the very worthy runner up. And congratulations to the teams at both EndemolShine Australia and Network 10 for another fantastic season! We have shared more information about the biomethane on the MasterChef set here: renewable-gas.com.au #MasterChefAu #EndemolShine #networkten #renewablegas Jemena ATCO Solstice Energy

Australians love gas, and are connecting in record numbers! As reported in today’s News Corp publications, including the The Daily Telegraph, a recent report by the Australian Energy Regulator has shown that gas connections have continued to increase in NSW, SA and Victoria. Michael R. Pintabona from Jemena explained, customers are “worried about the risk of blackouts as the energy system decarbonises and they consider gas… as having an important role to play in our energy mix.” And Matrix Property Group director, Geofrey Franz, added gas hot water and cooktops were attractive to his buyers because of their reliability and speed, “We haven’t had anyone ask for electric on a cooktop”. #naturalgas #AER #energy

Congratulations to our team on taking home a High Commendation last week at the Society of Chemical Industry (SCI) Australia 2023 Plant of the Year Awards for our Hydrogen Park South Australia project. Why is this award so special? SCI was established in 1881 by a group of scientists, inventors, and entrepreneurs, who came together to form a global innovation hub, whose purpose was to accelerate the rate of adoption of scientific innovation by industry, for the benefit of society. The Plant of the Year Award is a national prize established to recognise significant contributions in Australia to profitable and sustainable manufacturing operations, including operational, scientific and technology aspects. Our team has been at the 2024 Australian Local Government Association National General Assembly this week in Canberra sharing a stand with Jemena and ATCO. It's been a fantastic opportunity to meet local government representatives who were visiting Canberra, from around Australia, to engage with Federal Government and influence national policy. We used this opportunity to speak with delegates at the ALGA National General Assembly, sharing insights into AGIG's renewable gas future and what this potentially means for their residents’ future energy options, as well as promoting our renewable gas projects like Hydrogen Park South Australia, Hydrogen Park Murray Valley, HyHome and more! #ALGANGA #renewablegas

The transition from natural gas to renewable gas is a significant turning point for our business and the energy sector as a whole. The technical work we do behind the scenes is highly specialised and nuanced – and not always easy to explain in simple terms. However, as a business we are working to raise awareness of the role renewable gas – biomethane and renewable hydrogen – can play in coming years in reducing emissions while continuing to give households choice of energy. Yesterday our Marketing Manager Claire Minns presented at the Victorian Bioenergy Network Forum in Geelong. She shared insights into projects, like our MasterChef Australia sponsorship, that help increase awareness of renewable gas and its potential to help Australia reach net zero. #renewablegas #masterchefau #victorianbioenergynetwork
