How can sensitivity analysis identify risks and opportunities in your revenue forecast?
In Excel it's really easy to setup. You have different options depending on the type of sensitivity analysis you need to do: There's Goal Seek, Data Table and Scenario manager. To get to them, you'll have to go to the Data Tab / What-If-Analysis section. The easiest option and the best way to get started with sensitivity analysis tools is to get familiar with Goal Seek. This is a major time saver when you know the goal you want to achieve - basically you know the result you want your formula to deliver, but you don't know the exact value the input should have. You don't need to guess because that can be time consuming. You can simply use Goal Seek. It's very powerful and I have an article about it: https://www.xelplus.com/excel-goal-seek/

This article by Andrew Sharpe and Leila Gharani from the Centre for the Study of Living Standards examines the factors behind slow productivity growth in Canada in the second half of the 1990s, in marked contrast to the acceleration of productivity in the United States, and discusses the prospects for trend productivity in Canada over the next decade or two. It concludes that the balance of evidence now favours an acceleration of trend labour productivity growth to the 2-2.5 per cent per year range, as the factors accounting for the U.S. productivity boom finally spill over into Canada.Andere Autor:innen -
