Our Sukari team in Egypt joined our client Centamin for World Environment Day. They visited The Hurghada Environmental Protection and Conservation Association’s (HEPCA) Red Sea Wonders Museum, part of the association’s Educational Research Support Centre in Port Ghalib which aims to raise environmental awareness and educate visitors on the unique ecosystem and biodiversity of the Red Sea. The site is also connected to their Aqua Culture Lab, where HEPCA have been spawning and growing Tridacna (giant clams) for restoration, which the team also toured. Our team thoroughly enjoyed their visit and learning more about what they can do in their local region to protect the environment. Mugisha Lwekoramu, Director and CFO of our Tanzanian subsidiary, CMS Tanzania, and Lucy Mauro, CFO of our laboratory business, MSALABS visited our site operations at Geita Gold Mine, Tanzania recently. They were able to see the new blast hole rigs digitisation project in operation, including our command centre container where fleet performance can be monitored and drill plans uploaded to increase accuracy and ensure optimal blast results for our clients. #CAPD #tanzania

Congratulations to our Non-executive Director, Alex Davidson on his award of the CIM Fellowship for outstanding continuous contributions to CIM and/or the mining, metallurgical and petroleum industries, well-deserved recognition for his significant contributions to our industry.
Alex Davidson is this year's recipient of the CIM Fellowship for outstanding continuous contributions to CIM and/or the mining, metallurgical and petroleum industries. As executive vice president of exploration and corporate development, Alex helped expand Barrick Gold Corporation’s gold resources through a series of world-class discoveries and strategic mergers and acquisitions. His achievements helped elevate the stature of Canadian mining at home and overseas and earned him industry honours including the Prospectors & Developers Association of Canada (PDAC)’s Prospector of the Year Award (2003), the CIM’s A.O. Dufresne Award (2005), the Society for Mining, Metallurgy & Exploration Inc. (SME)’s Charles F. Rand Gold Medal (2019) and induction into the Canadian Mining Hall of Fame in 2023.
