Charles Brooke, M.S., leads Spark’s livestock enteric methane mitigation program, building off of his science, policy and practice expertise in the field. He also serves as the coordinator for the Global Methane Hub Enteric Fermentation Accelerator Science Oversight Committee. His work focuses on accelerating the overall rate of action and innovation in the field. Prior to joining Spark, Brooke served as the lead scientist for short-lived climate pollutants within the executive office of the California Department of Food and Agriculture, where he created and managed the first state program to support enteric methane research. He has also worked as an affiliate researcher at the University of California, Davis, focused on the evaluation of feed additives for enteric methane mitigation, rumen microbiome responses and the discovery of novel microbial compounds.
