Choose which key ASM initiative you wish to support:

  1. ASM’s Full Mission and Vision: Your unrestricted donation allows ASM to provide additional resources to existing and new essential programs and services on an as-needed basis. Your contribution will be used to ensure vital ASM programs continue forward.

  2. ASM Diversity, Equity and Inclusion: An essential part of ASM's mission is to embrace, elevate and embody inclusive diversity with equity in the microbial sciences. Activities to support this mission include but are not limited to fellowships, professional development and recognition.

  3. American Academy of Microbiology: The mission of the Academy is to promote excellence in microbial sciences and deliver scientific insights for the microbiology community and the public. The Academy set a multi-year strategic goal emphasizing the lasting impact we can make on the problem of climate change.  Our work is aimed at convening experts in diverse areas to further our knowledge of microbiology and leverage microbes in creating new climate-friendly solutions.

  4. ASM's Global Public Health Programs: Our efforts support laboratory strengthening in resource-limited settings to advance microbial sciences and enhance health systems. We focus on middle- and lower-income countries, especially communities in remote, underserved areas, empowering them to integrate microbiology laboratory best practices into clinical care and population surveillance. These programs make a lasting impact by enabling identification of, and response to, priority pathogens worldwide.

  5. Education ProgramsThrough professional and career development, resources and mentoring opportunities, ASM actively promotes inclusive excellence in diverse communities and further deepens understanding about microbiology education. The Education Committee serves a broad audience and delivers programs related to the ASM Conference for Undergraduate Educators (ASMCUE), fellowships for trainees, career and professional development training at all levels.

  6. ABRCMS Innovation Programs: The goal of Annual Biomedical Research Conference for Minoritized Scientists (ABRCMS) is to better prepare historically excluded communities pursuing scientific careers. Donations support new and innovative programs not currently a part of the ABRCMS program. This includes, but is not limited to, (i) leadership development, (ii) experiential learning and (iii) funding to pilot novel approaches to enhance experiences for students, postdoctoral scientists and junior faculty from diverse backgrounds.
