This hotel appears very new. Rooms were very clean and were adequate for an overnight when travelling. Not many amenities in the room but as stated ok for the stay. The restaurant offered a good range of food. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Shuttles had to be booked and paid for. One would expect these to be a free feature of an airport hotel. Otherwise all good.

Underwhelming

Look, for convenience if you have a long stop over it was great. However, for the price it was underwhelming and we put in a disabled room. As we were tired from our flight we decided just to bed down and get some sleep. The breakfast in the morning was average.

Don’t stay here unless you have no other choice. We had a terrible experience at the Ibis at Brisbane airport. We stayed the night before an early flight and were charged $40 to park for less than 12 hours. The room was also very disappointing for the price paid.

Blatant Money Grab.

I had booked a room for the start and return of an overseas trip. I advised them when I would be arriving back from the trip , by the time I cleared Customs it would be about 10 am. They quoted me a price I agreed to. When I arrived at approximately 10 am after having little sleep for the past 48 hrs and desperately needed a sleep I was advised that an early check in was an extra $50. They would have to consult the cleaning staff to check the availability of a room. I wasn’t going to sit for three hours and wait so reluctantly paid the extra. The room was available immideatly, later when I turned on the TV it was programmed to welcome myself! The Room had been ready all along as they were expecting me. This was just a money grab from a vulnerable person at the time! Never again will I give them an opportunity to screw me over!

Scam - they charge your card without your consent

I made a reservation and paid in full via Trip.com. When I checked in, I was asked to provide a credit card so any additional charge could be put on the card. When I checked out, I was confirmed there would be no additional charge. Unfortunately, on the following day, I noticed a charge had been put on my card. I have been contacting the hotel via Accor (that’s the only way to make contact) and asked for a refund. At first, I was told this had been passed to the hotel for a reply. Back and forth after 5 times with Accor, I requested it to be escalated as a complaint and asked for a formal response from the hotel. To date, I still have not received any response from IBIS Brisbane Airport! I contacted Trip.com about this with all the proofs. They said the hotel had now refunded the amount (after 2 months of effort!). Unfortunately on the same day when I was told I would receive a refund, I noticed I had been charged 20.40AUD without my authorisation. Trip.com advised me the hotel had told them it related to a charge for using the phone charger. I have never been told I would be charged for using a charger during my stay. Instead, I was told there would be no additional charge when I checked out. Also how come the hotel only decided to charge me 2 months after my stay with no receipts provided?! I booked this hotel only because of its location. I have never come across a hotel that steals people’s monies, fraudulently uses someone’s credit card and with such a poor management.
