jc.2016-3921Eating patterns peak at midluteal compared with follicular phase. Increased attention and reward brain region activation is associated with sex hormones and explains this variability.

Association of NAFLD With Diabetes and the Impact of BMI Changes: A 5-Year Cohort Study Based on 18,507 Elderly

Miao Liu, Jianhua Wang, Jing Zeng, Xiutang Cao, and Yao He

Vol. 102, Issue 4, April 2017, DOI 10.1210/jc.2016-3440

jc.2016-3440This is a large cohort study based on elderly, and results showed that there is an independent association between NAFLD and both diabetes and prediabetes, which was closely related to BMI changes.

Vol. 1, Issue 6, June 2017, DOI 10.1210/js.2017-00110

js.2017-00110We examine the ethical issues of FP for pediatric DSD patients: gonadectomy, consent/assent, experimental treatment and false hope, cost, genetic transmission to offspring, and gender dysphoria.

Temperature as a Circadian Marker in Older Human Subjects: Relationship to Metabolic Syndrome and Diabetes

Brianna D. Harfmann, Elizabeth A. Schroder, Jonathan H. England, Natalie J. Senn, Philip M. Westgate, Karyn A. Esser, and Philip A. Kern

Vol. 1, Issue 7, July 2017, DOI 10.1210/js.2017-00086

js.2017-00086To determine the relationship between metabolic factors and circadian parameters, fasting blood labs and wrist temperature data were collected. Statistical analysis was performed and revealed triglycerides as a primary predictor.
