2-year-old dies after being pulled from lazy river in Myrtle Beach

A child has died after she was pulled from a lazy river over the weekend.

MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) - A child has died after she was pulled from a lazy river over the weekend.

The Horry County Coroner’s office confirmed 2-year-old Lylah Dillon, on vacation with family from West Virginia, was found in the water on Wild Iris Drive on Sunday.

She was taken to Grand Strand Regional Medical Center where she was pronounced dead.

Chief Deputy Coroner Tamara Willard said an autopsy will be performed later this week to determine Dillon’s cause of death.

Dillon’s death is the second water-related death from the weekend, a 3-year-old from Hemingway also died in a pool at a home in Myrtle Beach.
