South gets sweep in hoops

SOUTH CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) - The WV South all-star team took both games from the North squad Friday night at the South Charleston Community Center. In the boys game, Shady Springs’ Ammar Maxwell scored 32 points and helped his team to an 86-79 win. From the girls game, the Wyoming East’s Madison Clark hit a buzzer-beater for the win 57-55 over the North team. Ripley’s Sophie Nichols added 20 points.
