PARKERSBURG, W.Va. (WTAP) - UPDATE: 5/29/24- Bradley Cantwell is being charged with two counts of murder for the death of 41-year-old James Clifton Bailey and Felicia Jean Goff.

Cantwell was arraigned by the Wood County Magistrate Court just after 10:00 p.m. on May 29th, 2024.

Bailey and Goff were found inside of their home and investigators say both were shot and killed before their home had been set on fire on May 19th in Walker.

According to a criminal complaint the fire was set in different locations in the basement.

The sister of Felicia Jean Goff was present during the time of arraignment.

Cantwell’s bond will not be set until he appears in front of the Circuit Court.

A Walker man wanted in connection with a double murder in Wood County is now under arrest.

Wood County Sheriff Rick Woodyard says 41-year-old Bradley Cantwell was taken into custody around 4:25 p.m. on Wednesday.

Cantwell was arrested without incident while leaving a business on Blizzard Drive.

Gage Foutty of Vienna was also arrested on unrelated charges of conspiracy to commit grand larceny/aiding and abetting. The Sheriff’s Office says that Foutty was driving a vehicle he and Cantwell when they were arrested.

Cantwell is facing two first-degree murder charges in connection with the deaths of 41-year-old James Clifton Bailey and 40-year-old Felicia Jean Goff. The pair were found inside a one-story house after a fire on May 19 in Walker, W. Va.

Investigators determined that Bailey and Goff were shot and killed before the house fire started.

The Parkersburg Police Department, Vienna and Williamstown Police, the West Virginia State Fire Marshals Office, the West Virginia State Police and Wood County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office helped wtih the investigation.
