UC is World Series bound

CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) - The University of Charleston softball team is in elite company this year as they have clinched a spot in the Division II College World Series. The Golden Eagles beat Kutztown in a winner-take-all game 2-0 behind a one-hitter by Brianna McCown after dropping the first game of the day 1-0.
UC scored a run in the fourth and fifth inning to behind RBI singles from Bianca Polistina and Brittny Ogg. They’ll be one of eight teams heading to the College World Series which is being held in Longwood, Florida beginning May 19th.
