Herd survives and advances

PENSACOLA, Fl. (WSAZ) - Maybe a trip to the beach was just what Marshall needed to get some swagger back. Kamdyn Curfman and Kevon Voyles each scored career highs with 30 points leading the Herd to a 86-74 win over Georgia State in the second round of the Sun Belt basketball tournament.

The Herd broke a seven game losing streak and next face number two seed James Madison Saturday night in Pensacola. The Dukes are currently riding a ten game winning streak.
