MONROE, La. (WSAZ) - The first year of the Kim Caldwell era added another historic moment at Marshall. The Herd came back from an early 17 point deficit to beat UL-Monroe 99-90 and have clinched at least a share of the Sun Belt regular season basketball title. If Troy loses to South Alabama this afternoon, they can claim the championship outright.

Abby Beeman led Marshall in scoring with 25 points with Breanna Campbell, Aislynn Hayes and Sydni Scott also hitting double figures. Marshall is now 21-6 overall and 15-1 in Sun Belt play. The Herd has their final home games of the year next Tuesday and Friday.
