CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) - The Mountaineer Gas Outage last November left more than 1,000 neighbors on Charleston’s West Side without heat and water -- and with broken appliances.
Many residents were unsure where they’d get their next hot meal.
Although Chef Keaton Contini had a lot on his plate during those weeks, he was consistently there to help -- for days and days on end.
It all culminated with a Thanksgiving dinner -- a memory Contini said he will not soon forget.
“It’s nice being able to connect with our new neighbors, even if it’s through difficult situations,” Contini said.
