How does credit counseling work?

In your free session, here’s how certified, experienced experts can help you, regardless of your financial situation:

  • Listen: Get a complete financial review to understand your unique financial situation and goals.
  • Support: Get advice on budgeting, how to work with creditors, additional sources of income, and more.
  • Empower: Get an Action Plan that summarizes your financial situation, provides a budget and timeline for reaching your goals.
  • Save: If you want to simplify your debts, you can consolidate creditors and even save on interest rates with a Debt Management Plan (DMP).
  • Connect: Get referrals to additional resources like the Union Plus Legal Service, the Union Plus Mortgage Assistance program, etc.

Did you complete a Debt Management Plan?

If your Action Plan called for you to complete a DMP, you may be eligible for reimbursement on the administrative fees. Complete a Reimbursement Request Form and your Union Verification Form to ensure prompt reimbursement.
