Anthony the owner and Nick did an amazing job helping me move! They loaded our home we have lived in for 11 years in 2 16ft. Pods and did a fantastic job! They communicated well, showed up on time and work hard! They stayed until the job was done, which took longer than the time I had scheduled. As a single lady I appreciated that they were very professional and respectful individuals and I felt completely comfortable and at ease having them in my home. Anthony and Nick were intentional and took care in loading up our things into the Pods. They also did not nick or scratch up the walls while moving our stuff out of the house. I will highly recommend Sitters Movers and would definitely use them again to move. Thank you Anthony and Nick for a job well done! ~Andrea P. La Mesa, CA

Motivated Military Movers Profile Image

They were on time. They worked very hard and were quick. (tip based on how hard they worked). They took care of the furniture......were done in about 2 hr 45 min. However, I was not please with the attitude of the one in charge. He kept telling me he knew what he was doing as he has been in business for 14 years....I tried to have him make some adjustments in how he was stacking the furniture. We had taken drawers out of the heavy furniture to make it easier, he did not give me a chance to fill the drawers back up. He wanted to put the tool box in first and did not like that I said no. He turned my secretary upside down on top of a desk restricting using that space for boxes. I feel he is a good thoughtful worker, but as this was the 5th pod I had on this move, and I loaded each one, that I know my stuff as to what fit. We hired helpers this time as we can no longer move heavy furniture. He would not place barriers(cardboard, or wood) between sections as again he said he has been doing this for 14 years.....We had to pay someone else to make adjustments to the Pod. Had no time to redo the whole pod....As the other 4 pod that we have had in last few months....there was never any movement or any breakage...I am not sure about this move...The gentleman in charge needs to realize that we as the owners of the belongings may have some important input and that we may be old but we do know what we are doing.......Again both workers were professional and worked real hard. I many not have been doing this for 14 years but I have done many moves in 52 years and never had any breakage or damage as yes I do know what I am doing.... I would use Motivated Military Movers again but I will not be put down again. I am old but not done yet....

Major Neighborhoods in San Diego

San Diego has earned the nickname “America’s Finest City” due to its golden-sand beaches, mild climate, consistent recreational activities, and its many charming neighborhoods located all throughout the area. With the help of a professional mover who knows all the ins and outs of San Diego, you’ll be able to move with no surprises.

Downtown San Diego

When it comes to San Diego, Downtown is all about its convenience and accessibility to other places. You can easily walk to a game at Petco Park, or to one of the many music events at The Rady Shell. (That is, unless it's the week of Comic-Con, then anything goes!) Since there are many one-way streets, downtown can get traffic heavy and has parking issues, so it's best to book professional movers who can swiftly move you into those new high rises on Market Avenue, or the lofts on Broadway.

Pacific Beach

Pacific Beach in San Diego is your ticket to the ultimate beachside lifestyle. You want walkability? Marketplaces? Frisbees? It's all in the DNA of this beachfront haven. If you're moving in the summer, keep in mind PB can get congested; while traffic usually isn’t quite as heavy here, it still gets backed up because of its narrow streets. However, professional movers know how to get you into your Mission Boulevard beachfront condo in a matter of hours.

Hillcrest

Hillcrest, one of the most charming neighborhoods in San Diego, has a vibrant vibe for those seeking a fresh start. (And your move to Hillcrest deserves a grand entrance, just like the iconic Hillcrest sign!) Even beyond its nationally renowned parades, talk to any local and they will tell you that parking is the biggest challenge. Luckily, moving pros are used to working with virtually anything along University, Robinson, and Washington.

North Park

You'll find hip, urban living with a refreshing twist in North Park, San Diego. There are tons of great shops (check out Artelexia!), entertainment staples like the LaFayette Hotel and concerts at The Observatory, and incredible food and vibes at eateries like Park & Rec and City Tacos. It's no secret that North Park has limited parking options, but San Diego movers know exactly where to go to get in and out easily.
