Man struck by car while waiting for bus in DeKalb County
DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. - A man passed away following a car accident in DeKalb County on Friday morning.
It happened around 9:15a.m. near the intersection of Candler and Glenwood Roads.
DeKalb County Fire Rescue says the victim was waiting at a bus stop when he was hit by the car. Medics transported the victim to the hospital where he passed away, according to DeKalb County Police. The driver was also transported.

The vehicle also hit and damaged a utility pole, leaving people in the area without power. According to Georgia Power, about 500 customers were without service around 10:30a.m. Friday. By about 5p.m., 18 customers were still waiting for their service to come back.

DeKalb County Police say the accident remains under investigation.
