“Take your pick, you can sit at one of these and look out across the bay and feel strangely at home.

“The inhabitants are lovely people, warm and welcoming. So if you like peace and quiet and want a taste of real Greece, before it is 'discovered' this could be the place for you.”

Another traveller seemed to coincide on the welcoming atmosphere, saying: “This is the most charming little island and you feel welcome the minute you set your foot there.

“After a few days it's like you been there forever and know all the locals who is very helpful with all the information you might need.”
