Mike Tyson has expressed his desire to reschedule his boxing match with Jake Paul, suggesting the final quarter of this year as a potential timeframe. The pair's contest initially scheduled for July 20 was postponed due to Tyson experiencing a medical emergency during a flight from Miami to Los Angeles.

Paul subsequently disclosed that Tyson communicated with him, reiterating his eagerness to proceed with the bout at the earliest possible opportunity, likely between October and December. In agreeance with Mike's decision to postpone the fight, the influencer-turned-boxer sympathised with Tyson's recent health scare onboard a plane earlier this week.

Sharing his response on Instagram, Paul lamented: "Obviously devastating news, I'm heartbroken, speechless, gutted. We've been working so hard over here, everyone in this camp and I feel bad for everyone in this event, the whole undercard. This opportunity has been ripped from all of us, but I do value Mike's health.

"Love that guy, so much respect for him and I want Mike to be healthy. He still says he's going to knock me out and I bought myself some time so Mike is still talking... over there. But Mike if you still want to do this, like you've said behind closed doors, I'm ready whenever you're ready.

"This is too big an opportunity, this fight's going to change the world. I turn all my Ls into Ws - a motto I live by - and the universe makes no mistakes so let's see what's in store, but sorry this didn't work out."

In a statement himself, Tyson said: "Unfortunately, due to my ulcer flareup, I have been advised by my doctor to lighten my training for a few weeks to rest and recover. My body is in better overall shape than it has been since the 1990s and I will be back to my full training schedule soon."

It is still uncertain whether Paul will proceed with the fight scheduled on July 20 at the Dallas Cowboys' AT&T Stadium, with Katie Taylor set to face Amanda Serrano on the undercard.

Amidst the uncertainty, an unexpected contender who has surfaced is Paul's own brother, Logan. Despite their close relationship, dissensions have built up over the recent years, particularly after Logan decided to establish a company with Jake's arch-rival KSI.

In an assertion on X, Logan mentioned: "So Mike Tyson's out? I'll step in and we can settle this once and for all" - accompanying the statement with a throwback picture of him confronting Jake.
