Jake Paul was left disgruntled by posts by old rivals KSI and Dillon Danis on social meda which showed next opponent Mike Tyson in a wheelchair dating back two years. The YouTuber-turned-fighter's upcoming adversary suffered a medical incident on a flight but representatives from both camps have insisted their summer bout will still go ahead.

The upcoming contest at Texas' AT&T Stadium has proven a controversial proposition within the boxing community since it was announced earlier this year. Backed by Netflix, the event represents the most significant fight of Paul's career, while Tyson will don his gloves in a professional capacity for the first time in nearly two decades.

With 30 years seperating the two competitors, the legitimacy of the fight as a contest has been widely debated in recent months, with stars including Lennox Lewis and Tyson Fury advocates. However, detractors including Oleksandr Usyk and Frank Warren have been vocal in their opposition against the event.

After 57-year-old 'Iron Mike' suffered a health scare this week due an ulcer flared up during his trip between Miami to Los Angeles, KSI and Danis were among those who issued their reactions. However, Paul resolved to address speculation that the former world heavyweight champion would be forced to pull out of their fight, asserting on Twitter/X: "You love to make [expletive] up before knowing the facts for clicks / likes. Nothing changed #PaulTyson."

Clearly perturbed by the reactions of KSI and Danis, 'Problem Child' took to social media as he re-posted a comment from his promoter, which read: " KSI and Dilon Danis are very similar people. They both posted a two-year-old picture of Mike Tyson to mislead their audience referring to Tyson's health. Mike Tyson is feeling great after an ulcer flare up on a cross country flight."

Tyson spoke previously about the pictures showing him in a wheelchair from two years ago, as he revealed that he sometimes suffers from sciatica. He said: "I have sciatica every now and then, it flares up. When it flares up, I can't even talk! Thank God it's the only health problem I have. I'm splendid now. Everybody in my house is truly blessed and we're all very grateful for whatever we have.

As for his current health following his scare on the internal flight in the US, Tyson's representatives said: "Thankfully Mr. Tyson is doing great. He became nauseous and dizzy due to an ulcer flare up 30 minutes before landing. He is appreciative to the medical staff that were there to help him."

A source informed the Daily Mail that an announcement was issued by crew on the aircraft half an hour before landing that Tyson was requiring medical assistance. According to their insider, an eyewitness recalled of the incident: "He was in first class, but we were an exit row.

"They asked us to stay on the plane and landed so paramedics could enter. [The stewardess] said something like, "He's a really important passenger so we wanna make sure he's OK." I knew it was him, but I just mouthed the words "Mike Tyson" and she nodded her head yes."

The current state of play decrees that Tyson will need to undertake tests in order to compete on July 20, as per Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation rules. With 'Kid Dynamite' over the age of 36, these examinations will ascertain his brain and heart health before he is able to compete.
