Channel 5's The Yorkshire Vet star marries love of their life in stunning ceremony

Fans of The Yorkshire Vet are in for a very special episode as star of the Channel 5 show David Melleney is set to get married on the programme.

The veterinarian's nuptials will air on the much-loved show on Tuesday, July 9, in an episode called Wedding Bells and Cow Bells.

Viewers will get to see David tie the knot to his long-term girlfriend Megan Denny at a stunning ceremony that took place at Chateau du Doux, in Dordogne France, with 70 of the duo's family and friends in tow.

David, 31, and Megan, 28, who is a dentist in Holmfirth, met after he graduated in 2017 and began working at Donaldson's Vets in Huddersfield, which is filmed as part of The Yorkshire Vet series. They live in Holmfirth and have a dog Yogi together.

Megan wore a delicate white lace Belissima dress with sheer sleeves and gorgeous detailing for the occasion, she opted to tie her hair back in a loose bun and let long loose strands frame her face as she completed the look with a veil. Megan's bridesmaids looked stunning in turquoise dresses.

Meanwhile, David looked dapper in a light blue checked suit and pale pink bow tie. He was joined by his groomsmen who wore beige suits and white shirts, finishing off the look with sunglasses as they soaked up the summer sun.

Beautiful images show the couple tying the not to a stunning green backdrop as their guests watch on from the outdoor seating.

Speaking ahead of her wedding day, Megan said: "It's just so exciting I couldn't wait to marry David." While David added: "It was such an amazing day for us, I'm so happy that I could share our joy with our loyal viewers."

Among the guests were fellow television vets Matt Jackson-Smith, who married his wife Katherine in 2022 and recently shared his home and baby joy with OK!, and Shona Searson.

Matt, who was a groomsman, had the job of handing out the confetti for his pal David, said: "It's just so exciting, it just seems like yesterday that David was at my wedding to Katherine."

To prepare them for their nuptials, David and Meg also took dancing lessons to prepare for their first dance to the soundtrack of Michael Buble's Everything.

Viewers can tune into Channel 5 on Monday night to see how they pulled off the Cha Cha Cha. The loved-up duo rounded off their wedding celebrations with a stunning firework display before heading off on a romantic honeymoon on safari in Africa.
