What is Agatha All Along about?

Set in the aftermath of Wandavision, the series resumes the tale of Agatha Harkness, who found herself ensnared by Wanda Maximoff/Scarlett Witch's spell in the climactic finale. The initial trailer for Agatha All Along, which debuted on July 8, delves into life under the new enchantment, with Agatha taking on the role of a sleuth delving into a mysterious demise.

As she scrutinizes the corpse, the toe tag mystically discloses a name that rings a bell: "W. Maximoff". Enter Witch Rio Vidal, portrayed by Audrey Plaza, who implores Agatha to "claw your way out" from under Wanda's bewitching influence.

The trailer reveals Agatha mourning her lost powers, yet she confidently asserts "I can be that witch again".

Marvel's official plot synopsis for the show reads: "In Agatha All Along, the infamous Agatha Harkness finds herself down and out of power after a suspicious goth Teen helps break her free from a distorted spell. Her interest is piqued when he begs her to take him on the legendary Witches’ Road, a magical gauntlet of trials that, if survived, rewards a witch with what they’re missing.

"Together, Agatha and this mysterious Teen pull together a desperate coven, and set off down, down, down The Road…"

When will Agatha All Along be released?

The new series will premiere on Disney+ on Wednesday, September 18 with two episodes. The remaining seven episodes will be released weekly until November 6.

Why has the series' title undergone so many changes?

Since its announcement in 2021, the series has seen a number of title changes. Initially named Agatha: House of Harkness, it was rebranded as Agatha: Coven of Chaos in July 2022.

In September 2023, the title was altered once more to Agatha: Darkhold Diaries. With the reveal of the premiere date earlier this year, the final title was confirmed as Agatha All Along, a nod to the catchy tune from WandaVision that took the internet by storm.

Marvel enthusiasts have speculated that the constant title changes indicate Marvel's uncertainty regarding their TV shows. However, Variety suggested that the shifting titles are more indicative of Agatha "is up to her old skulduggery."

Disney also shared a video suggesting that the title changes were "orchestrated by (Harkness) as a way of messing with Marvel fans."
