ITV's Good Morning Britain experienced a change in line-up as regular entertainment correspondent Richard Arnold was absent from the show.

Richard, 54, is a familiar face on the morning programme, providing viewers with celebrity news from both the UK and abroad. However, on Tuesday's episode (July 8), Richard was replaced by Scarlette Douglas, who joined presenters Susanna Reid and Ed Balls.

Scarlette, who featured on I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here! in 2022, occasionally fills in for Richard and also made an appearance on the show last month. Yet, there was no explanation given for Richard's absence.

During her segment, Scarlette brought viewers up to speed with the latest entertainment news across the UK. Clips were also shown of Scarlette interviewing Nicole Scherzinger, reports the Mirror.

This development follows an incident last week when Richard found himself in hot water with ITV bosses during a recent segment. Richard discussed pop star Lily Allen's latest venture - selling risque photos of her feet on a popular adult subscription site.

The 39-year-old singer shared a link to her new page, humorously captioning it "la dolce feeta" and telling her followers: "Soled Out, big time. Here's the link for my future Toe Daddies. However, as Arnold delved into the contentious topic, he was told by a voice in his earpiece to quickly change the subject."

However, as Arnold delved into the controversial topic, he was instructed via his earpiece to swiftly change the subject.

"She claims she's just, and I quote, 'dipping her toes into the venture', which Lily later revealed is due to her pedicurist telling her she had a rare five-star rating on WikiFeet."

He continued to explain that WikiFeet is a website where "users rate people's tootsies", adding: "Make of that what you will. I don't even know where to go with that."

Kate Garraway quickly interjected with: "No, leave that hanging," but Adil Ray was keen to find out more. He queried: "So what, you subscribe to her channel to see pictures of her feet? Okay. Interesting."

Arnold then swiftly moved the conversation on, saying: "Let's move on, I'm being told. Remember, you do one day a week I have to be here every day!"
