Emmerdale Samson's 'creepy' pal's agenda 'revealed' as fans issue warning to villager
Emmerdale Josh has caused plenty of drama since his arrival but fans have now ‘rumbled' his agenda - and it's sickening
Emmerdale fans have ‘worked out’ what Josh Crowther is up to - and it’s not looking good for one villager.
The newcomer (Conner Chapman) first arrived in the village back in May and has proved to be a bad influence on friend Samson Dingle (Sam Hall).
The pair threatened Matty (Ash Palmisciano) during an attempted robbery at The Hide. Things quickly escalated though, when Josh pushed Samson into Matty - who was holding a knife - causing Samson to get stabbed.
Both Josh and Samon lied and said Matty deliberately caused the injury - with Matty since getting sent to prison.
And during Thursday’s episode (July 4) Josh barged into Sarah Sugden’s (Katie Hill) home - confessing that he liked her and asked her out for a drink. She agreed and the pair had a drink at The Wooolpack. But when he told her that he and Samson are planning to leave the UK to travel around Europe, Sarah questioned the timing of his plans with Matty's trial approaching.
Frustrated, Sarah lashed out at Josh - with Mack (Lawrence Robb) forced to intervene - and later at home he shared his disapproval over her spending time with the troublesome newcomer.
But now, fans fear that things will take a harrowing turn with Josh and Sarah. Over on X, formerly known as Twitter, one person said: “You ever get the feeling Samson’s “mate” will try to force himself onto Sarah and that’ll be what makes Samson admit the truth?”
Someone else added: “After everything he saw Lydia go through with Craig, I think that would be the one thing to kick him into gear.” A third chimed in and proclaimed: “There’s something creepy about Josh.”

Another agreed and penned: “Sarah, on behalf of us viewers – stay away from Josh!!!” A fifth wrote: “what TF is Sarah doing hanging around with Josh?”
Over on the soap this week, things are set to take a more dramatic turn. Moira Dingle (Natalie J Robb) is seething to hear Josh and Samson Dingle's (Sam Hall) intention to leave for their European trip sooner than before, vowing to stop them.
Moira bursts into the Dingles and levels her accusations about Samson leaving early at Sam Dingle (James Hooton) who defends his son’s innocence. Soon, Sam is convinced to let him leave as he promises to be back before the trial but Moira is on a mission to stop him going.
