Meghan Markle 'ready' to sit down with Royal Family - but she's still 'genuinely hurt'

The Duchess of Sussex wants to 'reconcile' with the UK-based royals as she hopes for key outcomes, according to an expert.

Prince Harry and Meghan: Expert shares date of ‘reconciliation’

Meghan Markle is said to be "ready to sit down" with the Royal Family for reconciliation talks after four years of barely any contact, as she thinks a good relationship with her in-laws would "help her sell her jam", according to a royal commentator.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have been estranged from The Firm since they stepped down as working royals in 2020 and moved to the US.

Ever since then, they have made a series of sensational claims against the royals and the rift between the camps is thought to be so deep that Meghan reportedly "never wanted to set foot in Britain ever again".

The last time the couple came to Prince Harry's home country together was back in 2022 for the late Queen Elizabeth's funeral.

But now a royal commentator claimed that the Duchess is ready to reunite with her estranged in-laws, despite being "genuinely hurt".

Royal biographer Angela Levin told GB News: "She's still genuinely hurt by how she was treated by the Royal Family - this is four years on.

"And she wants to now at last sit down and talk through things."

Ms Levin added that Meghan wants the Royal Family to "make an apology" but that prospect is highly unlikely.

She added: "The person who should apologise is really her, but they [Harry and Meghan] don't want that."

The biographer also alleged that a royal source claimed the Duchess is hoping a reconciliation with the royals would "help her sell her jams" from her lifestyle brand, American Riviera Orchard.

She said: "She's also trying to get Beatrice and Eugenie, who's on top of her list, to get people to help her sell her jams.

"And she's really hoping that King Charles might take one, too.

"It comes from quite a good source, and that would be her excuse to go there, she wanted to make sure everything was nice, but it's also a way of selling her products."
