Nigel Farage has issued a bold warnin to the new Prime Minister after Reform UK's recent gains in parliament.

The leader of Reform UK, which won more than four million votes and gained five MPs in the House of Commons on July 4, wrote a tweet directed at Labour leader Sir Keir Starmer.

He said: "Reform are now second to Labour in 87 seats in this country. We are coming for you @Keir_Starmer."

While Sir Keir Starmer's Labour Party achieved a historic landslide victory, the election results also signified a dramatic shift in the UK's broader political landscape.

The national ballot saw substantial gains for the Liberal Democrats, the Greens, and Reform UK, alongside victories by pro-Gaza independent candidates, including former Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn.

These developments delivered significant blows to some of Westminster’s most prominent MPs.

Reform UK, driven by Farage's determination to diminish the Tory vote share, exceeded pollsters’ expectations and secured second place behind the Labour Party in a whopping 87 seats.

Tory defector Lee Anderson was the first to retain his Ashfield seat under the Reform UK banner.

Farage himself finally entered parliament on his eighth attempt, winning in Clacton.

He was joined by former party leader Richard Tice in Boston and Skegness, and ex-Brexit Party MEP Richard Lowe in Great Yarmouth.

Meanwhile a recount in the Basildon South and East Thurrock constituency resulted in James McMurdock claiming victory with a narrow majority of just 98 votes.
