Please be advised that, you have the option to schedule a telephone interview, an interview by video with an EEOC representative, or an in-person interview at our office.  Individuals who come into the office without an appointment will be screened for appropriate follow-up. Scheduling an interview is strongly recommended and individuals with appointments will be given priority.  

You are encouraged to visit the EEOC Public Portal (https://publicportal.eeoc.gov/) to schedule an intake appointment by telephone, by video or in-person.   The system can also be accessed by going directly to our website at https://www.eeoc.gov/

There are strict deadlines for filing a charge of discrimination, please review the information in the timeliness tab or call 1-800-669-4000. 

For individuals who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing, you can reach EEOC by videophone at 1-844-234-5122. If you have a disability which prevents you from accessing the Public Portal or you otherwise have difficulty with accessing the portal, please call 1-800-669-4000.

Office Hours

The Boston Area Office hours are Monday - Friday from 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Almost all intake is conducted by appointment. To schedule an appointment, use the online system at https://publicportal.eeoc.gov/portal/ or access the system via www.eeoc.gov.

Walk-in intake hours are Monday – Friday from 8:30 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. Individuals with appointments and individuals whose statute of limitation are about to expire are given priority, and we may not be able to interview people who do not have an appointment.

Everyone visiting our office must pass through building security, which includes metal detector screening. Plan to arrive 15 minutes prior to your appointment, to get through security. If you arrive more than fifteen minutes late to your appointment, you will be considered a Walk-in, and we may not be able to see you that day.

We are located near the Bowdoin and Government Center stops on the blue line; Government Center stop on the Green Line and Haymarket stop on the orange line.

Street parking is very limited. There are several paid parking garages nearby, including Government Center Garage at 125 Bowker St or 50 Sudbury Street and Pilgrim Parking at 136 Blackstone Street.
