We can claim an extra 25p on each pound we make when we sell your goods. You can sign up in any Cancer Research UK shop.

About Gift Aid

With Gift Aid, the government lets us claim an extra 25p for every £1 you donate

Simply complete a Gift Aid declaration form and we can start claiming back tax on your donation.

Benefits of Gift Aid

All UK taxpayers qualify for Gift Aid

It costs you nothing as long as you pay Income Tax or Capital Gains Tax at a rate at least equal to the amount of Gift Aid claimed on your donations in that tax year. Otherwise, it’s your responsibility to pay the difference.

Self-assessment taxpayers also qualify for Gift Aid

Keep records of your donations as you’ll need to report these on your tax return. HMRC can then adjust your tax code.

You can apply Gift Aid to past donations

When you sign up, we can add Gift Aid to the past 4 years of your donations to Cancer Research UK. We’ll continue to add Gift Aid to any donations you make in the future, unless you ask us not to.

Managing your Gift Aid

Contact us if your circumstances change

If you no longer want to claim Gift Aid, or your circumstances change so that you’re no longer able to, please contact our Supporter Services.

You can opt out of marketing when you sign up for Gift Aid

We’ll give you the option to opt into marketing when you sign up for Gift Aid or Retail Gift Aid. If you choose to opt out, we’ll respect your choice.

We're required to tell you how much your items have raised each tax year once your sales have reached £20 or every three years - whichever comes first.

You can donate clothing and homeware

Our shops are grateful for every donation. All shops accept men's, women's, and children's clothing and accessories. They also accept good quality homewares, linens, books, CDs, DVDs, and more.

Please check with your local shop before donating furniture or electrical items.
