A Florida woman died after she was struck by a box truck while riding her bicycle in Cambridge late Friday afternoon, the Middlesex district attorney’s office said.
The woman, 55, was not immediately identified.
She was riding in the same direction of the truck on Mt. Auburn Street when she was struck as the truck turned onto DeWolf Street at about 4:30 p.m., prosecutors said in a statement.
She was taken to a local hospital where she was pronounced dead.
The driver of the truck remained at the scene, the statement said.
The crash is under investigation.
