The first ever-recorded case of dengue in Sao Tome and Principe, an island state in Central Africa, was reported in April 2022, with the peak of the outbreak in June 2022. Entomological investigations were carried out in June and November 2022 and identified Aedes larval habitats were destroyed and treated. Advice was also provided to the population on how to avoid and eliminate Aedes larval habitats in their environment. Kamgang et al
