Tonight's 'Supermoon' (29/08/2015) is the first of three spectacular lunar shows this year
That means the moon is very full and bright in the sky, because it has come very close to earth.
Tonight's full moon is just 222,631 miles from earth - one of the closest approaches of the year.
Rework of my biggest (144mp) moon-shot ever. Increased saturation to highlight the mineral composition of the surface. 30 panel mosaic at 2.700mm focal length, taken with Mak180 & ASI178mc (Luxembourg 5.5.2017).
So you have a couple of pretty good things. Why not put them together and let your imagination take over and make something perhaps even better than the original(s) ...
First time I have managed to get the craters in a moon shot, this was taken near Canterbury in Kent, England at around 5pm.
Just a standard full moon.
I took this when I went out to take some night shots around my apartment. It was cloudy that night but this short moment when the sky suddenly open came, and I was lucky enough to get couple shots of it.
