The moon is up ! (Late afternoon !)

September 2018 Full Moon

Gazing at the moon (and the sky) never gets old.

Tonight's 'Supermoon' (29/08/2015) is the first of three spectacular lunar shows this year

That means the moon is very full and bright in the sky, because it has come very close to earth.

Tonight's full moon is just 222,631 miles from earth - one of the closest approaches of the year.

Rework of my biggest (144mp) moon-shot ever. Increased saturation to highlight the mineral composition of the surface. 30 panel mosaic at 2.700mm focal length, taken with Mak180 & ASI178mc (Luxembourg 5.5.2017).

Simplicity in a landscape

So you have a couple of pretty good things. Why not put them together and let your imagination take over and make something perhaps even better than the original(s) ...

Maybe one day, I will manage to get moon detail and corona in one photo!!

First time I have managed to get the craters in a moon shot, this was taken near Canterbury in Kent, England at around 5pm.

The full moon was pretty spectacular tonight...

Just a standard full moon.

I took this when I went out to take some night shots around my apartment. It was cloudy that night but this short moment when the sky suddenly open came, and I was lucky enough to get couple shots of it.

I had trouble with the clouds (in the way again!), but the moon finally moved into a clearing...

An old photo that I liked. It was used for the game that I and my group made.

Note: I just took a shot and don't edited it with any software.

Not the clearest moon shot, but my first attempt at a crescent moon. Hopefully it's clear tonight for the first quarter.
