Template talk:Anarchist communism sidebar

This template really ought to be a footer template; the anarchism sidebar is much more useful for those browsing casually. The anarcho-communism tendency in particular is of interest probably only to scholars who would happily take the time to investiate below. There are too many pages with both the anarchism and anarcho-communism sidebars; the pages get cluttered and neither sidebar seem particularly engaging when presented one after the other. Do not use this symbol

[edit]

Please, do not use this symbol. I repeat. Do not use this symbol. The hammer and sickle is the USSR symbol which stands completely opposite of what Anarchist communist believe and struggle for. Thanks. 190.159.39.121 (talk) 06:42, 17 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I will also want an explanation for where did this particular hammer and sickle symbol came from. I was the person who added as an image for this template a copy of the book The conquest of bread by Kropotkin. Perhaps we could consider putting that back instead of this symbol which could bring associations with the USSR.--Eduen (talk) 00:49, 18 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]
This has now been changed to a red and black star as it's simpler/more representative. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Saii (talkcontribs) 15:51, 11 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]
