Is the Accelerator table also considered a resource? --80.139.22.242 (talk) 11:40, 3 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Sure it is: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa381043(VS.85).aspx --Ggenellina (talk) 02:28, 19 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Technical details

[edit]

I'm looking for technical information on how Windows resources are stored. If anyone has any good sources please post them here! talkcontribs)

DeDe removal

[edit]

DeDe does not appear to belong to this category. It is NOT a resource editor, but a Delphi decompiler. See all those "NO" in the table. --Ggenellina (talk) 02:28, 19 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Read-only

[edit]

They aren't read-only, obviously. Look at all those editors that can write them. It seems that a program is not allowed to write resources to itself, which is presumably what was meant by "read-only". I'm not entirely sure about this, though, and would like to see a citation (because if it was possible to have Mac-style resources on Windows, that would be great.) I've been trying it out just now, but I end up left with a .tmp file which is a copy of my application, instead of the application successfully adding a resource to itself. 213.122.67.242 (talk) 07:49, 13 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Feedback

[edit]

A reader has provided editors with the following suggestion for improving the article:

The types of languages which are used in the scripts in resources with some examples could be helpful.

When the article is updated to this information, please mark the reader feedback as resolved. Senator2029let's talk22:13, 12 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Visual Studio license

[edit]

Visual Studio is actually better described as "freemium" as it now has a free version (Community) and paid versions (Professional and Enterprise). BFeely (talk) 07:15, 7 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]
