Too much detail in synopsis

[edit]

I just reverted an expansion of the scene where Mal and Wash comically argue about using the navigation beacon to catch someone's attention, because I feel it's simply too much detail for a "synopsis". In fact, even I wrote the entire content of the current synopsis section, I think it's still too detailed. I wrote it (and 12 of the other 13 episodes' synopses) rather quickly to get them established before Serenity came out. I'm hoping that folks will come along and trim them to achieve a more summary view of the episode, because it's not Wikipedia's role to give a blow-by-blow scene description. ~ Jeff Q (talk) 04:36, 11 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]

references to other episodes section

[edit]

There is another reference to the compression coil. In the episode "Ariel", when Wash and Kaylee are looking for parts in the junkyard, Wash picks up a compression coil and throws it into the distance. 216.165.140.202 (talk) 17:44, 22 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

That belongs to the "Ariel" article, in fact it's already there. --Pentasyllabic (talk) 19:33, 22 January 2008 (UTC)--Pentasyllabic (talk) 19:33, 22 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I believe it not a compression coil, but a 'catalyzer' that was blown in "Out of Gas", AND was tossed by Wash in "Ariel". It also ended up as a shelf decoration on 'Castle', in the "Vampire Weekend" episode. Donnellysj (talk) 18:54, 9 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]
