Maiden name

[edit]

Does anyone know if she has a maiden name?

Party affiliation?

[edit]

It's clear that the Toronto mayoral election system is nonpartisan, but what about Pitfield herself? What party is she a registered member of? Unless Canada doesn't have party registration, then what political party is she closely associated with? I'm guessing PC, but she also seems to have some strong ties to the Liberals, as well.

Canada has no party registration, and membership lists are confidential. Also, parties at municipal, provincial and federal levels may have no connection with their namesakes at other levels. Pitfield had the support of both Liberals and Conservatives when she ran for mayor, although many Liberals and Conservatives, as well as most New Democrats, supported Miller. My guess is that she does not identify herself with any political party. The Four Deuces (talk) 21:21, 1 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
