Trail benches are found in scenic locations throughout Banff and are an excellent way to celebrate the life of a loved one or honour an individual, group or special event.
Benches are available for dedication through the Banff Bench Program with new riverside benches now available. These new benches provide residents and visitors with more opportunities to enjoy the trail system and adjacent forest and riverside areas, provide resting spots for users of all ages, and help to promote increased active living, active commuting etc.
An opportunity to tell a story about the person/event will also be provided, giving trail users more insight into the history of Banff as both a community and visitor destination.
Bench dedications includes a bronze plaque (8.5 by 2.5 inches) and maintenance on the bench for 10 years. Purchasing a memorial bench is considered a donation, and a tax receipt will be issued.
