Kente fabric, Handwoven from Ghana. Kente yard is not the same as African fabric/ankara . This woven top-notch quality kente is not measured like the normal African fabric/Ankara. The Kente strips are joined together to make 2 yards for a piece in three to make 6 yards. The weavers weave it up to 14 or 15 stripes and join all the stripes to make the full 12 yards kente but when they weave it in small stripes it's either 17 or 18 stripes to make the full 12 yards kente.
