Last night marked a proud achievement for us at the South African Breweries. We proudly clinched the "Localisation of the Year" award at the prestigious Top Empowerment Awards. This accolade is a testament to our unwavering dedication to localisation. Our manufacturing value chain is localized, with close to 95% of our raw materials being locally sourced linking beer to local economies and communities. Masa Nkgadima Zoleka L. At SAB, we are answering the call to make a positive difference this Mandela Day. As a result, we joined forces with our employees and the Department of Social Development in the Eastern Cape and KZN to plant trees at 16 GBV shelters. The theme for this year’s Mandela Day, which is focusing on food security in communities, aligns perfectly with our commitment to empower the communities that we operate in through SAB Sharp.   This gardening initiative is part of SAB Sharp's Live Sharp, a programme that empowers responsibility within communities by creating an environment that enables job creation and drives economic inclusion. It is a privilege to have employees make a positive impact in vulnerable communities across the country. By joining hands with these shelters, we are excited to make a tangible difference.   Thank you to everyone who joined forces today. Let’s make every day Mandela Day! #SABSharp #WeAreSAB #MandelaDay Kelisha G. Zoleka L. Marsha Kumire Kanyisa Ndyondya BARBARA COPELOVICI Nombulelo Skota Bontle M.

In the spirit of the upcoming Mandela Day on the 18th of July, we would like to reflect on the previous Mandela Day initiatives. In 2023, over 150 SAB employees assisted 10 NGOs to address food security by establishing and extending community gardens.   This year, as The South African Breweries, we are pledging to support 16 identified organizations that operate across the country to support Gender-Based Violence (GBV) survivors. As we continue to champion responsibility in South Africa through SAB Sharp, we will continue to commit to making a tangible difference in communities. #SABSharp #ItsInYourHands #SAB

At SAB, championing responsibility is core to us growing and leading the category responsibly. We are proud to officially introduce SAB Sharp, an evidence-based initiative designed to support communities in living, driving, talking, and selling Sharp. Through these four strategic pillars, the platform's initiatives are supported by strong partnerships with government, law enforcement, and community organisations: 1. LIVE Sharp empowers responsible communities by creating an enabling environment for job creation and ultimately driving economic inclusion. Through the SAB Foundation, LIVE Sharp has disbursed over R500 million, supported more than 6,422 entities, created over 10,000 new jobs, and sustained over 5,000 jobs to date. This initiative has shown the impact of job creation in stimulating economic growth. 2. DRIVE Sharp encourages responsible driving by partnering with law enforcement agencies to curb drunk driving. Insights have shown that one of the most effective ways to combat drunk driving is enforcement. 3. TALK Sharp is our self-regulatory commitment to ensure that our communications are honest and truthful, in keeping with contemporary standards of good taste, and sensitive to cultural differences between markets. 4. SELL Sharp empowers responsible trading by enabling retailers to comply with responsible trading practices. SELL Sharp has assessed over 32,000 retailers nationwide, ensuring they engage in responsible practices and promote responsible consumption among consumers. To date, the compliance rate of SAB traders and retailers is at 78%, driven by a focus on ensuring traders and retailers conform to responsible practices. “This platform is integrated into our business strategy and operations, reinforcing our ambition to grow the beer category responsibly. We take pride in the impact and sustainable interventions that cultivate a culture of responsibility in South Africa, ensuring that every beer experience is a positive one”, said @Zoleka Lisa, Vice President, Corporate Affairs, South African Breweries. Join us on this journey towards a more sustainable and responsible future. Let's make a difference, together. #SABSharp Zoleka L. It has come to our attention that scammers are falsely claiming to be SAB distributors and offering unauthorized promotions for our products to retailers. SAB will never ask for orders or payments through WhatsApp or email. Orders should only be placed via our official Sales Channel, the BEES App, which ensures a secure trading environment.    For more information, please click here: BEES South Africa (mybees.co.za)   Stay vigilant and protect your business from scams.
