AMAZING GEM in SLO! The shopkeeper is so lovely, always kind and knowledgeable. There is a great selection of Asian products, enough to get by while in SLO. They don't have specialty items the way large Asian supermarkets like Ranch 99 does or other shops in Asian dominant communities, but their selection will meet most of your needs.
Great customer service! The shop is clean and well organized. So glad SLO has something like this availableHelpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 1 - Olivia B.Danville, CA110454Mar 9, 2024Updated review
We just love this market!
This review has been a long time coming just because they always have everything we need! The owner is so helpful and so sweet. The store is always well stocked and clean. The smell can be a little off putting but I blame it on the smell of the building.
They have so many different options for different items and I love the variety! The prices aren't too bad either.
Items I frequently purchase include sushi rice, imitation crab, curries, kewpie mayo, ramens and noodles, asian veggies, seaweed, teas, fun drinks, and boba. I'm sure im leaving things out but you can't go wrong with anything in the store. I recommend all of my friends, family, and clients to shop here for their Asian dishes.
Shop small, my friends! We need places like these!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 1Sep 13, 2021Previous reviewMy boyfriend and I come in here whenever it's poke night. Lemme tell you, the people that work in here care so much about their customers. We see the girl working the most, she's just too sweet. The store is always tidy and clean. We want to support this little business as much as possible. Best oriental market we've ever been to!

The owner Fani told me that I was not welcome inside the store for no apparent reason. She proceeded to threaten me and demand that I leave, she then added that my friends that I had come in with months prior (a POC gay couple) were not allowed back as well.
This verbal attack felt racially charged and sadden me to know that the only asian grocery store in SLO would discriminate against others because of how they look. I have bought hundreds of dollars worth of items from this store over the past few years and have never been asked to leave until today, just moments after stepping into the store.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 1 - 4406613171Feb 6, 2023
I stopped in here after going to SLO Provisions next door, and was intrigued by the wide variety of Asian food products. I learned to cook in Hawaii and still absolutely crave certain items that are not always available in the food stores "stateside."
I looked all around, I spotted some of my favorites, but missed the shrimp chips. The very helpful staff person at the register helped me out and even pointed them out to me (they were a different brand than I usually get).
They were out of one of my other favorites, Lihi Mui (japanese Salt Plum), but they do carry it, so I shall return. I usually get my supply at the ABC stores in Las Vegas, but the pandemic shut that activity down!
I liked the Buddha by the door, and was sure to rub his belly for good luck this New Lunar Year!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 4Oh no 1 - Liz F.Canyon Country, CA032Mar 22, 2024
Love making the trip here from Santa Maria about 40 mins, totally worth it. The people there are always super friendly and outgoing, which is one of the main reasons I keep going back. The store itself isn't very big but there are more than enough options for me from snacks and drinks to dry and fresh noodles.

Still going strong!
More variety of snacks available and fresh refrigerated produce. A good number of ramen-type noodles you may only see in Asian marts. Don't forget to check out their ice cream section. For some exotic flavors!

Plus they carry thai tea! Pricey, but convenient, glad to have an asian store in SLO! - Hubert L.San Francisco, CA01Feb 11, 2024
