My only issue with quality meats is that I made a reservation after an afternoon pizza tour so I didn't have enough room for all their delicious food.
I took my 11 year old son here and it was probably too fancy for him, but he always appreciates a good meal and steak. We arrived about 30 min early for our 6pm sat night reservation and sat us right away.
We started with some oysters (combo of east and west - we preferred the west) and caviar (his first experience and he fell in love). I have to admit both were amazing, as were the delicious hot rolls that they brought to our table.
We shared the filet and got thru about half of it until we were too stuffed for another bite. It was cooked to perfection. My son couldn't stop raving about the juicy red middle where I was all about the perfectly seasoned crust.
We unfortunately had no room for dessert and I'm sure missed out, but just another reason to return and would also love to check out the other restaurants in the quality family.Helpful 4Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0Business owner information

I found this place through Yelp, which I usually trust for new places to try. I decided to show my husband around midtown, so we grabbed a pre-dinner snack around the corner from the Met, hit the Met for two awesome exhibits, then we made a rezzy for QM.
While the steak my husband ordered was really good (brandied cherries as a garnish? Wow.), the caviar sliders were a practical joke, and the service was even funnier.
We were seated on their second floor, tucked behind a wall so we could not see the rest of the restaurant (and the rest of the restaurant couldn't see us either). The service was questionable from the very start- we sat at the bar to wait for our seating to become available and one of the bartenders refused to service us by acting busy at the other end of the bar.
My husband and I have been to a number of really nice restaurants- and I am happy to report I will never visit QM again.
I gave two stars for the steak and Brandied cherries.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 1Business owner information

Risa,
Manhattan is not for everyone, and that's okay! We do thank you for your comments and providing this feedback on your experience with us. - Apr 28, 2024
Our second time here so we knew how amazing it would be. The porter house was above and beyond perfectly cooked. However the filet was rather small.
The corn casserole is a must, we got the quality potato which was good but thought about almost getting two corn!
They had a special of Gorgonzola meatballs, the sauce was very good. The ball itself was a bit overcooked.
Oysters were flavored, the cherry peppers were delish.
Try this you won't regret!Helpful 2Thanks 1Love this 2Oh no 0 - Apr 23, 2024
Came in not expecting to post a 5 star review as I haven't heard of this steakhouse but I was blown away. Service was friendly and professional. The inside is intimate (although 2 person tables can be close together; we were in a 5 person round table) and dark. Wine menu is extensive as I would expect at a high end steak house.
Tomahawk split between two people as it was too big for me. The meat quality was on point as a medium ordered. Enough char on the outside to satisfy my taste buds. Sides of baked potato and asparagus.
Overall, I would come back here for a good steak in the city if I am craving one!Helpful 2Thanks 1Love this 2Oh no 0Business owner information

Going out of 2023 with a bang and no better place to end the year than @qualitymeats_. My favorite steak house in NYC! The interior is gorgeous, the food is always a 10 and the service is impressive. It's hard to choose from all of their amazing appetizers so why not try them all! Then sign me up for any steak with the bone . Insta: @thehungrysw

Hey Ken,
Welcome to Manhattan in the summer! - Jan 26, 2024
What's not to love?
Classic NYC steakhouse.
I waited at the bar until my plus-one showed up. We were seated promptly on the upper level.
Service was kind and quick.
First out was the delicious fresh baked bread with butter.
Next up was the farmer's salad which was enough for two people.
The mains came out with the Tomahawk steak which my and my companion shared. It was cooked perfectly to a medium rare. We opted for the truffle butter which came out with a presentation. And we opted for the freshly made in front of you steak sauce.
The two sides were the Corn Brulee which is a corn pudding with a hard sugar shell.
We had some coffee to finish the meal which came with mini chocolate chip cookies.Helpful 1Thanks 1Love this 0Oh no 0 - Dec 11, 2023
Big fan of all the Quality restraints around town and Quality Meats was amazing. The service, the martinis, the wine selection, the ambiance. All amazing. I took my sister and her soon to be husband here to celebrate and as non-New Yorkers they were blown away.
The steak I ordered was absolutely perfect. Highly recommend quality meats for a special occasion!Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - 22287328Apr 20, 2024
The steak was good but not great. It was tender and went well with the sauce they made table side. Service was attentive and he explained the specials. Ambiance is intimate and the lights are dim. Overall it was a decent experience but didn't wow me. Probably best to come once to try the food and after I wouldn't bother.

Nice steakhouse. Came here for our anniversary. Place has a nice dark ambience. It's really big once you go inside beyond the first bar.
We had:
steak tartar
bacon
ribeye tomahawk
filet mignon
fries
corn crème brûlée
tastes tasted really good, the filet was very tender and buttery, the tomahawk was salty and crunchy but cooked med rare, it had some fat around it that tasted delicious.
the sides were good. corn crème brûlée was almost like a dessert. i wasn't too bc razy about the fries they were very dry and over fried imho.
probably over ordered and over ate but it was worth the meat sweats all night - would come back againHelpful 1Thanks 1Love this 0Oh no 1
