New York Vein Treatment Center

Changing my original review which I was encouraged to post while at this doctor's office in Brooklyn and before my procedures were complete.  4 Months after going in for a simple vein treatment, i'm left with itching scars where lasers were inserted.  I went through 2+ weeks of wearing the support hose and staying off my feet, but the vein is still bulging and not removed at all.  So in essence this procedure not only didnt work, ive been left with scars that itch and show no signs of going away.  AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

I thought I'd go to Dr. Khitin because his office was near my apartment, the treatment for both legs was only $500, he calls himself "the #1 Vein Doctor in New York," and he had very good reviews. I had gone previously to a different doctor where I got wonderful results, but he was quite a bit more expensive, so I thought I'd give Vein Treatment Center a try.
Unfortunately, this is what happened: Dr. Khitin treated both legs with laser, saying during the treatment that my spider veins were responding very well. Then he had his assistants tightly wrap both legs from mid-thigh down to my toes with bandages, and I had to keep them on 4 full days.(!) I expected the spider veins to look worse and to be bruised when I took off the wraps, because that is part of the process. After several weeks I went back for Khitin to see the results and take pictures (they always take before and after photos). He admitted that there was no change and then said he would do sclerotherapy injections at no additional charge. This was done over the course of maybe an hour, and then the bandages were applied and I had to wear them again for four days. Not only is this uncomfortable and itchy, but it is difficult to shower as well.
At the end of four days I removed the bandages and was all bruised as usual, which, again, is to be expected and is normal. However, after a significant period of time passed, over a month, there was absolutely no improvement, and the worst area on one leg had actually spread over a wider area. I will be returning to my previous vein doctor, who is more expensive, but I now realize, is well worth it. And with him I only have to wear bandages for a few hours, not a horrible four days. Dr. Khitin and his staff are very very nice, and I believe he did his best, but my legs don't look any different, except the one area that is worse, and the treatment was a complete failure. I thought I might save some money but instead I am out $500 for nothing. Not to mention 8 days (2 treatments) of wearing tight bandages covering and squeezing both legs during the hot summer. Note: I didn't have varicose veins...just spider veins, so I can't comment on the efficacy of Khitin's treatment for the more serious varicose veins.

I spent many years after having two children not only feeling self conscious but eventually dealing with pain in my legs that I couldn't put into words. It was a deep pain that felt as if it were in my bones. During this time I would frequently look online for a solution. Natural remedies never worked and I was always afraid to have a procedure and it going horribly wrong.

One day I decided a consultation is just that, a consultation. I first met the staff at the New York Vein Treatment Center who immediately made me feel at ease. Afterward speaking with Dr. Khitin it was obvious that he was knowledgeable which was the deciding factor in my coming back for a procedure that was right for me. Ofcourse that nervous feeling the first day was there but I was quickly put at ease. My procedure was practically painless during and I had barely any discomfort after.

I went in for the second leg without a care in the world and the truth is I couldn't be happier with my decision to go with Dr. Khitin and his staff. Its been a month and I can say I look forward to maintaining my now pain free legs at the New York Vein Treament Center.

Dr. Khitin is a wonderful, kind and caring person, exceptional specialist. His staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. They make every procedure easy for a patient. Highly recommend.

From the minute you contact the office and all of the following steps and procedures you are in Great Hands. You will receive true and to the detail information and will be suggested procedures which are really required or advice of what to do if doctors involvement is not needed.

This is a real treatment center and not a business driven clinic.

Could not be happier with my experience at the New York Vein Treatment Center. Super organized and very clean facility. Plus, the most amazing staff!!! Everyone has been super helpful, made me feel comfortable, explained everything to a T, provided excellent care and honestly made me feel at home. I could also not say more amazing things about Dr. Khitin. He is by far the best vein doctor I've ever met with. Extremely knowledgeable, patient, hilarious and delivers incredible results. HIGHLY RECCOMEND!

This has been so far the best Doctor experience! since I when to Dr. Lev Khitin my legs health has improve so much, he is a kind person who knows what he is doing, he is the best to treat your veins, and his employees are amazing, friendly and lovely they care about you and they show it, the place is very clean and smell so good, they efficient in everything and they're fast you never have to wait long when you have an appointment. I recommend this place 100%

Choosing Dr. Khitin to fix my varicose veins is one of the best decisions I have ever made. Not only is he highly trained and very experienced but he is also very personable and truly focused on helping patients. His staff is also very professional, competent, and supportive. They do an excellent job of balancing kindness with thoroughness and efficiency. Because the veins in my legs deteriorated slowly, it took a while for me to realize how occasional discomfort had become constant, chronic pain slowing me down. Since being treated by Dr. Khitin at New York Vein Treatment Center, I am pain free and spry once again!

I have had several visits over the past year and several procedures for varicose veins. Each and every time I have had excellent care and five-star customer service. Dr. Khitin is informative, patient, thorough, and precise. The staff is professional and helpful and also provided me with excellent care. The best thing is, I no longer have any pain in my legs and the bulging veins are gone.

I wish there had been more reviews posted for this place, as perhaps I would have been spared the rip-off that this place seems to be.

1) Every appointment I had I was kept waiting for an inordinate amount of time (45 min to over 1 hr). I was only seen on time for my last appointment because I called in advance and said I wasn't coming in if they were running late. And even then, they took me into a room fairly quickly, but it took over 30 minutes until I saw the doctor.

2) I was told my case was not at all severe, and 1 treatment would be sufficient. After the treatment, results were barely noticeable, and at my follow up appointment, the doctor tried to tell me he never said 1 treatment would be enough. He then indicated that it may take several treatments. Complete bait and switch.

3) His demeanor and responses to my questions were very unprofessional and bordered on condescending.

4) While they tell you treatment is $399, they run a bunch of tests and bill a number of services to your insurance. So depending upon your insurance, you could end up paying much more.

All in all, this place appears to be a scam, run by unprofessional hacks. FIND SOMEWHERE ELSE to get these services done.
