    • Q:

Why are guests getting access to the lightning lanes? Genie plus has not started yet

      A:

Although Genie Plus has not officially launched, they can have a rider swap setup, which allows them to use that lane. Also if someone in a group, has a some type medical or disability they can also have access to this lane

    • Q:

Can I purchase tickets at the gate?

      A:

Possibly but you will also need a reservation. You need both a ticket and reservation for the day.

I had dreams as a child about going to the Magic Kingdom! Sadly, my parents never took me because it was too expensive for us (flight, hotel, admission). I satisfied my childhood dreams recently, albiet, in my 30s, better late than never. We took our two-year old son and he enjoyed it; since he was two, admission for him was FREE, yay! Parking was plentiful and organized; they had a tram that picked us up and then took us to the monorail.

We lived in Florida, so the only expenses were our tickets and the hotel. It was hot and sunny, which is normal for Florida, we still got to enjoy the whole park. I walked about 21k steps that day. The food was expensive which was to be expected. The restrooms were plentiful and clean. I loved that they had a quiet baby/toddler room where you can change them and purchase bottles/baby Tylenol and any necessities. Most of the rides had lines of course, but we didn't wait as long considering how many people there were. We enjoyed the rides and was there all day! We didn't get to do it all, it's more of a two day thing. At the end of the evening, they had a huge firework show.

Magic Kingdom opened in 1971. The newly renovated Cinderella Castle was beautiful up close and super iconic. It is the most visited theme park in the world and nation. There are 6 themed lands within the park; Main Street USA, Adventureland, Frontierland, Liberty Square, Fantasyland, and Tomorrowland. It was a fun experience and glad to have checked it off my bucket list. Now I have to go back soon since I have a second son.

In the two visits I've made to Magic Kingdom, both times were made more physically difficult by overzealous security.

The first was many, many years ago when I was in high school and we were forced to wear dressy clothing to a special closed-park event. We unfortunately had to wear dress shoes & so I ended up with severe blisters and kept taking my shoes off to alleviate the pain, and was stopped by security & forced to put them back on several times, even though many other kids were also barefoot & were not stopped.

The second was more recent. We took our kids and stayed in the Wilderness Lodge. We had a decent stay there, although the beds weren't the most comfortable. We enjoyed the other parks without issue, but once again, at Magic Kingdom as we were watching the nightly light show/fireworks, I was resting ONE FOOT on the curb trying to alleviate some foot & back pain in order to make it through the event, and one security guard kept walking past me and demanding that I remove my foot from the curb. I have no idea why this was such an issue for her, as it definitely was not impeding anyone walking on the sidewalk.

Meanwhile, people were taking flash photos and holding up selfie sticks with impunity, which diminished the view for everyone else around them, but there was no enforcement or even encouragement for them to be considerate.

MK was also the loudest park by far of any that we visited. Of course, we had to take the kids to it, because it's the most iconic of all the parks, but in my opinion it's also the loudest, most boring, & has the most overzealous security (but seemingly only with people who seem like they will be compliant).

Magic Kingdom on the 4th was just as you would expect but staff did a fantastic job making sure all was organized and safe.

Was not crowded at all until the evening. Epcot was chill, too. We returned to magic kingdom to ride Tron for a second time and the crowd was freaking nuts. I mean pandaemonium Not my cup of tea! And again, staff was on it in every way! No complaints.

We only went for voices of liberty in Epcot but of course we ended up in magic kingdom ‍

It was exactly what this frequent Disney lover knew it works be on a national holiday But we made it out alive and unscathed.

Another review giving it to you straight no chaser! Enjoy!

I purchased an afterhours pass for this park. I bought my tickets online. At admissions, they give you a wristband after they scan your ticket. You can enter the park early at 7 pm, but afterhours does not start until 10 pm. The early entry was nice. We can still enjoy the fireworks and get some food before they close.
When the park closes, they have a snack and drink stand out in different areas of the park. The stands have water, sodas, popcorn, and different ice creams. It is unlimited, you just show your wristband. With the after hours pass, you basically just go ride all the rides you want. The lines are short. I think the longest wait time was 30 mins. The shortest was no wait time. It was so much fun.

Omg!! Omg!!! Finally fulfilled my childhood dream of coming to Disney World!! It was magical the whooooollle time, I highly suggest everyone come here at least once in their life! I literally cried so many times during our trip here lol!! As a Disney kid, seeing Minnie up close with Mickey was so surreal, listen I know they're people in costume and I'm a grown adult but you just immediately turn into a kid when you come to Disney world!
I could NOT leave without getting a turkey leg, and funnel cake! The fact that g they were funnel cakes and turkey leg from Disney World Magic Kingdom makes them the best turkey leg and funnel cake I've ever had!!
I can't wait to come back!

Very similar to Disneyland California but a little bit more spacious. I agree with some of the reviews below how Disneyland is a bit more up to date with some of their rides and areas. But still very nostalgic and a place for families and children. If you stay at a Disney property transportation is so easy as there are multiple complimentary forms which I think is great. Things are more spread out here and when it gets hot or rainy, be prepared.

Disney world is such a class and nostalgic place to go to the staff are always friendly the place is clean and it's aways a good time . The only issue is the Florida weather so plan appropriately or make sure you have some good long ponchos if you go durning rain season like we did , we started off in the am so we were able to get on all of the rides that we wanted to and meet Tiana, Cinderella , Rapunzel and Elena we missed Ariel /Jasmine and Belle which I'm sure my daughter would have loved but we had tones of fun , Tron is a must do ride and we enjoyed pin trading in Orlando Disney more than CA Disney can't wait to come back

We've been passholders for 10+ years and Magic Kingdom will forever be my favorite park. We got to take the Keys to The Kingdom tour and it was absolutely incredible and gave us a whole new appreciation for the parks we love. The tour was 5 hours and explained the history and design of the park. We got to skip the line and ride two rides and lunch at Columbia Harbor House was included. They gave us ear pieces to wear so we could hear our guide in the crowds. We even got to go in cast member spaces and the underground corridors. Emma Caroline was a truly incredible tour guide. After the tour, we rode more rides and got snacks. I'm truly a Disney adult and this was the perfect day. I highly recommend taking the tour if you love Magic Kingdom.

How I went into the trip - nervous to travel with two under 3 and second guessing if I was making a terrible mistake.

How I left the trip - dying to book our next trip back to Disney.

Feels cliche and cheesy to say, but this is a magical place. My 1 and 3 year old had a ball. Rides, ice cream, bubbles, characters and perfect weather. What more could a kid really want? The park was smaller and easier to navigate then we had expected. We got to see and do a ton in one day.

      Pro-Tips:

-Splurge for preferred parking if you are coming with littles. It's nice to be close.
-Buy that bubble wand before at home. Yes, we got suckered into the $35 bubble wand.
-Genie+ of course. $25 well spent.
      - We were surprised at the lack of lunch options that weren't sit down, but offered a little something more than just hot dogs / pretzels. You might want to map this out / think about it in advance. We scrambled a bit at lunch time.
-Don't hand a new toy to a 1 year old who will throw it and lose it. RIP to our new Elsa doll. We had a nice run.

The best time and the best memories. Cannot wait to return when my girls are a little bit older and watch their reactions all over again!
