I am not a lover of shopping but I am lover of beautiful spaces, architecture and just general places to spend some time on a pretty day and this historic shopping center in Highland Park is gorgeous. Highland Park is supposedly the first upscale shopping center in America and is federally recognized as a historic place. It has design that faces inward toward what amounts a to large parking court yard area. The architectural style is mostly classic Spanish Colonial and the place gives one the feeling of being far away from the hustle and bustle of Dallas and places and trannsports you to Santa Fe or Taos. The soft red and pinkish tones look great against a pure blue Dallas sky. The landscaping is lovely as well and even when busy for some reason this center just seems to make me feel somewhat serene.

Style is not all Highland Park Village has to offer it is a very good place for upscale shopping with such big names as Jimmy Choo, Rugby and too many others to name. While upscale shopping dominates here this is still a fairly functional space as well. There is a Starbucks and a small and friendly Tom Thumb. Going into Tom Thumb I heard an employee greeting a customer by name..Wow!. There are also tables outside Tom Thumb for people to just to sit and drunk or soda or have a snack and enjoy the air. There are a number of dining option found here, most with outdoor seating areas. The most famous place in HPV is Cafe Pacific, a classic place for seafood and a one time gathering spot for Parkie elites. Famously, before he was Governor, George H.W. Bush supposedly accosted famed political columnist Molly Ivens for writing something about his Dad. There is a movie theater with dining options, including the areas only roof deck. Not all dining is up scale as there is a Mi Cocina location that has outdoor seating as well.

One would think that the parking situation in HPV would be a disaster but it is not nearly as bad as one might think. There are numerous spots inside the court yard area, an overflow lot that is dominated by compact car spots and multiple options for valeting. On a recent weekday lunch, I found ample places to park bu I would not bet on that for a bust Saturday afternoon or during the Christmas season.

HPV is simply a beautiful place to spend a good deal of time and/or a great deal of money.

Like the name says Highland Park Village is a luxury brand shopping destination, offering a blend of boutiques, upscale dining, and meticulously maintained architecture. Despite its high price tag, the experience was memorable and well my girlfriend was happy that's all what matters. I would say a must-visit for those seeking a touch of class and a glimpse into the chic side of Dallas.

People here were so rude to me. Yes i wasn't dressed like most of the others in this area but I shop the same and still bought stuff. Shouldn't have tho after the way the staff treated me.

I live in Los Angeles California so when I came to visit Dallas Texas for the first time, my friends who live in Dallas said Highland Park Village is like Beverly Hills. I can confidently say, Highland Park Village is 1000 times better than Beverly Hills.

This is one of many beautiful places to visit when you're in Dallas! I had an absolute blast exploring around with my family and friends. Every shop we went to was very elegant and the staff in every one of them was amazing! Definitely miss it a lot!

Located on Preston Road in Highland Park Texas, this exquisitely designed shopping center is designated a Historic Landmark and appears on the Register Of Historic Places

It is " the place" to go in Dallas for luxury shopping. During recent demonstrations, protest, looting and vandalism, many shops closed and boarded.

I really enjoy taking strolls in this village. They have some really cute restaurants and of course very high end stores. Parking can get pretty bad but valet is always available. I would recommend eating at the restaurants here because they're kind of overrated but for shopping are always amazing. I really like the Tory Birch store! There are the options as well especially for men and women's clothing but just look up in the directory what you're look before and come at a good time not on weekends because it'll be too busy. But overall it's amazing you're gonna have a great time here!

Even though I can't afford to shop at most of the stores located here in this shopping plaza, it's a fantastic place to walk through and window-shop at! The area drips with wealth, but the people here are anything but snobby.

The stores and restaurants here are positioned on the outer perimeter with limited parking in the middle. It definitely reminds me of a cozy, suburban shopping center with boutique stores. The only difference is that while there are boutique shops, most stores are high-end luxury brands. There's even a movie theater here. It also seems to be a popular spot for local kids living in the area to ride their bikes to and get a drink from Starbucks.

During the holidays, the exterior of the stores and the lot are elegantly decorated. Like I mentioned before, even if you don't plan on purchasing anything, the area is perfect for a relaxing stroll.

Lovely little shopping area, has high-end (Dior, Chanel, Fendi) and moderately priced stores, as well as a few restaurants. We walked around here on Friday afternoon, ate at a Mexican restaurant (Mi Cocina) which was very good, and then stopped off and a few shops, really good little shopping center if the store that you need some thing out is there. It's not very big, but definitely has a lot of good shops.

      Love and bought!

My husband and I went to HPV after work conferences only to find this place closes so early!! It's a beautiful Spanish style shopping center with great high end stores but was unable to shop. First time I see a shopping center close so darn early!!! Shop between 9-4 if not it's still pretty to stroll in the evening and some interesting restaurants to try. Lots of available parking and friendly people.

Beautiful place for dinning out, walk and shops. The downside are parking challenges and it is quite crowded.
