Dentists scare me. Period. The last time I went to the dentist he was busy extracting a lower wisdom tooth and it was torture . After that I never looked back .
Fast forward to current times and I am much older now and actually need to go to a dentist to clean my teeth annually .

I had found a great older dentist in queens but he's very old in his cleaning ways and so decided I would look for a new dentist . This place was recommended by a colleague as she had heard about Dr Plotnick from several friends .
After reading Yelp reviews and rummaging though her Instagram account I decided to email them and see if they took my insurance .

First of all Kris , the office manager, is so quick to reply your emails and I can feel her friendliness even through her emails . She was super helpful from the beginning of this process . When I came for my appointment I was so impressed by how clean and serene the office is . Kris is even nicer in person and she walks you through what your insurance benefits which was a huge plus .

Dr Plotnick and her assistants and dental hygienist were amazing on my first visit . She made me feel at ease and explained everything to me thoroughly . They have a stand up X-ray which was great and very up to date . You don't need to bite on those painful films anymore !

My cleaning was awesome ! I didn't feel any pain at all . They found a cavity in one of my wisdom tooth and so she recommended I get that taken out. She was so convincing That I actually booked it the same day .

And after much anxiety for a month , I went back to get that tooth taken out and let me tell you Dr Dadoun who was the oral surgeon was flawless . I never felt her putting the needle in for the anesthesia nor did I feel the tooth come out ! What I anticipated as something worse she made so easy!!!

Thank you Grand street dental for restoring my faith in dentists ! I will keep you guys as my dentists even if I have to trek all the way from Queens.

Best dental office in NYC! All women, super clean, super chill vibes and amazingly professional! The whole experience is the best you are going to get. 5 stars top notch service ! Love the office of grand st. I wish more dental offices were like this! Gifts from the heavens . Cleanings, fillings, surgeries, extractions ...all done with grace and care ;)

I have spent a lifetime absolutely petrified of dentists, to the point where at my last appointment prior to Dr. Plotnick I was numbed and then left before the drill could even touch a tooth. Showing up to Grand Street Dental, the decor set the vibe: it was a very relaxing atmosphere with very relaxing music, laid out in a very nice way. After finding out I had a cavity that needed drilling, I became immediately nervous - as is tradition. I began shaking. Somehow, Dr. Plotnick convinced me to give it all a try anyway. And lo and behold: I didn't feel a thing. Not one. Not even the shots (which don't bother me anyway). Absolutely brilliant. 10/10. 5 stars. Perfection. It turned a lifetime of fear into an easy and quick experience I'll never forget. Shoutout to her and all the staff at Grand Street Dental! Miracle workers!

Dr Jennifer Plotnick and her team are beyond professional and warm and helpful. This is a team that works together and delivers to their patient inside and outside the office. I go to Jen for my bi-annual cleaning and for all other Orthedontic and cosmetic procedures. I recently had a veneer put in (my first one) and it is beyond amazing how natural my smile looks. I also did my Invisalign through this practice and couldn't be happier with the results. although I live in Manhattan and am surrounded by many dental offices, I prefer making the trek to Brooklyn just so I can see this doctor. Also, thumbs up on the decor of the practice. Incredibly unique and modern.

I have been a patient of Dr Plotnick for over 10 years and even now , after moving out of NY, I keep coming back for my dental care . I've had fillings , crowns , endodontic treatment and most recently set of 10 beautiful natural looking veneers. She is truly an artist and a perfectionist, she takes time and walks you through every step of the treatment process .
Her staff is like one big fun friendly family and her office is a work of art .

I've never liked going to the dentist this much.

The staff is an amazing group of people who are not only professional but personable. They all seem to genuinely enjoy each other and this helps create an easy going atmosphere.

The equipment is the latest and greatest and Dr. Plotnick is honest with the treatments and has always presented all options available.

I used to live around the corner, so it was convenient as well. However, we have moved an hour away to the 'burbs and still go there.

Lastly, the space is the most instagrammable dentist office. Don't @ me.

I'm updating my review from 5 years ago as I've now been a patient that long and have gotten more work done! I wish I listened to Dr. Plotnick when I first went to her to start my journey of invisalign to complete my crown lengthening work I've been dying for years to get!! Fast forward to the pandemic/mask wearing and I thought it was the perfect time for my invisalign. So easy and painless! When I finished my trays she recommended me to a local periodontist who did the oral surgery. I couldn't be happier with my finished look, and like I said I should've listened to her YEARS ago!

I've avoided going to the dentist for, well, too long. I got insurance and put it off a few more months but decided I had to go. One of the first things I heard when I walked into Grand St was someone laughing really hard from the back. So i assumed they were super high on laughing gas cause why else would you laugh at a dentists office. They weren't.
This place is wonderful. Everyone is nice and attentive the care is top notch. They aren't pushy w/ you need this and that but do make suggestions. So happy to have found them.

Best dentist and support staff ever! The gorgeous and calming atmosphere that you are greeted with when entering the office represents the compassion, care and skill you receive here.
I have been here several times for special procedures. I am on a budget so I sometimes get cleanings elsewhere but the difference in quality shows. When I have real need, or even when I feel like I need a proper cleaning, it is worth it to come here. You get what you pay for and I intend to have my teeth functioning when I am old. To take good care of your teeth, this is the place!

I had a great experience with the back end of this office, unfortunately I can't say the same with the front office. I emailed before I made an appointment to ensure that the office was in-network with Cigna. I was assured via email that they were. The receptionist even asked me for my insurance information and told me that I was good to go. When I was in the office, it came to be that they actually aren't in-network as they charged me according to their UCR rates for the dental work I received. I paid for the services because I wanted to get the work done. Dr. Hassan, the associate, is amazing and Dr. Plotnick is very kind.

What I am extremely disappointed in is the manager's reaction to me letting her know that I was misled. No apology from her. Instead she was extremely sarcastic and facetious. Even more flabbergasted that her initial reaction to me telling her this was that if I had felt like I'd been wronged I could terminate my care and I didn't have to come back.

Honestly, if at the point I stated that I was misled, the right thing to do is apologize and offer a solution, not react with sarcasm. An awful front office destroys a practice. This is the reason why I would never return here.
