I was visiting from LA so I was trying all the little coffe shops around town and trying to stay away from national chains. This was one of the best ones that I found. The coffee was great and as a perpetual child, I love that they had stickers of their logo you could take.
The barista was very nice and offered recommendations as well. I stuck to my basic vanilla latte, but it's always nice to hear about off menu items to try.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Aug 1, 2017
Gimme! Coffee is a really cute, tiny shop in a neat neighborhood. Although I do not think they roast their own beans on premises, their coffee has a freshly roasted taste to it. I recommend just going with the house blend, which retains the tart berry flavor right from the original coffee bean. It stands on its own, and it's almost a shame to add anything to it. $2.50 is a good price for what you get, being that it's Manhattan.
The desserts they have are delectable. I had the lemon zest ball. It should be noted that it was $2.50, which is the same price as a cup of the coffee. Maybe that was a little too expensive.
The staff was friendly, as always. That's always a plus given that it's Manhattan.Helpful 9Thanks 0Love this 10Oh no 0 - Jan 2, 2019
I got their Queen Bee latte and let's just say it's delicious! Their barista is super friendly and gave me suggestions. They also have their local sources honey on the counter top for you to add in yourself. Over all I'm definitely coming back!

People watch and caffeinate thyself.
I stopped in here during a slow morning. There, Carl[1] and Renee educated me while I hung out. Trivial Pursuit cards were involved.
Like espresso? Get the Honduras Las Peñitas ($3; credit accepted) - it comes with seltzer - and you'll be woken the hell up in the gentlest way possible.
This coffee shop has a charming view of the street[2], and you can relax outside with a good book. There's a bench and tree that you can make friends with.
[1] Is it Carl with a C or Karl with a K?
[2] It sounds awkward, but no matter how many times I re-wrote the sentence, this place really does have a charming view of the street.Helpful 8Thanks 0Love this 7Oh no 0 - 76914524324Mar 12, 2015

I don't know if the cappuccino that I had yesterday was that bad, but this place had amazing coffee and fantastic service. I had a cappuccino to stay in their personally branded cups. The Coffee was flavorful, the milk was sweet, foam was frothy, and everything was in perfect proportion. The lady behind the counter was friendly. Its small place without any indoor seating but there were a couple benches outside.
I cannot wait to go back.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Layla K.Fort Lee, NJ02745Mar 16, 2017
OMG i love their coffee so much!! It was a small cafe but the coffee was the best!!! I tried double espresso. The barista served espresso with a cup of sparkling water.

Nothing could beat a large glass of cold brew after a lengthy run in the city! I felt like every single cell of my body has been energized!
Secretly hidden in the middle of NoLita, Gimme! definitely carries one of the best single origins here in the city. And the little old-fashion type of ambience definitely added on top of it! My barista was super helpful and introduced me the variety of coffees - totally love it!
I only wish Gimme! could be a bit larger in space so that I could sip my cold brew inside while viewing the better part of New York City downtown. Nicely done!Helpful 7Thanks 0Love this 9Oh no 0 - 89515073148May 30, 2014
Very small coffee shop, but it gets the job done!
I had an amazing iced latte. I'm not sure what makes it so much better than the others I've had, but it just was!
No seating area except for 1 bench outside.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Desiree R.San Diego, CA2251635Jan 14, 2020
Great coffee great options. Lots of teas good classic coffee. In a world when coffee gets forgotten and the beautiful beans are burnt and turned into a caffeinated milkshake rather than a well brewed cup I was grateful for this quaint shop on a cold day in New York.
This is not the place you want to go to hang out and get work done or meet someone for a cup of joe, this is the place you go when you got places to be and the world of New York to see and all you want as you head out on your beautifully busy day is a tasty cup of coffee or a good quality cup of tea.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Joe B.San Francisco, CA1544957Feb 11, 2018
This was a great little coffee shop serving delicious coffee. While visiting New York, we visited a few different coffee places (Box Kite, Brooklyn Roasting Company, Café Integral...) but Gimme! kept us coming back. The coffee had a delicious flavour to it and just tasted as coffee should taste.
It's conveniently located and the staff are friendly. They also have a selection of snacks which we sampled on one of our trips, but the coffee is the real draw: it's great!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0
