    • Q:

What is the deal with the fast pass vs the regular line at the Rock and Roll Rollercoaster ? They say booked "rock solid" but the regular line barley moves... what is the ratio of fast pass vs regular for any given ride?

      A:

Disney gives out a certain amount of fast passes per time slot, and users have an hour to use the fast pass. So it can't really be determined how many people will show up during a certain time. If you're looking for a faster way to get to the ride… more

    • Q:

I need restaurant at Hollywood Studios for lunch?

      A:

Sci-fi Dine-in Theater Restaurant is great! You sit in these cars that have tables and get to watch old films while you eat.

      1 check-in

My review is based solely on the Disney After Dark experience.

My sister, son and I came in June for the Hollywood Studio Disney After Dark. This was our first experience with an after dark event. Let me just start by saying, this probably the only way I'd want to do Disney in Florida unless it was winter and cold out.

The after dark tickets were supposed to be from 9pm-12:30am, however you can arrive as early as 7pm to check in. We arrived at about 6:45pm and were let in about 6:55pm. The lines were still very long, most running over an hour so we decided to get familiar with the park (this was our first visit) and then grab dinner. What we didn't realize is due to Fantasmic, most people didn't leave the park until 9:30 or so. However starting at 9pm only after dark ticket holders (wristband) were allowed to go on the rides. There were many check points where our wristbands were checked.

At 8:59 the wait time said 70 minutes for Tower of Terror so we were concerned with the wait. At 9pm everything showed closed in the app so we just walked up and asked. To our surprise the ride attendant said there was no wait and it was walk on. Heck yeah! Well sorry to say my son and I do not like drop rides and hated every second of the drops, my sister on the other hand loved it.

Next up, since Fantasmic was still going on, we rushed over to Slinky Dog Dash. This one did have a wait of about 20 minutes so we grabbed a cold drink to wait in line.

By the way, having many areas for the first 2 hours lined with cold drinks, popcorn, and ice cream with no wait was AMAZING!.

I cannot say enough good things about Slinky Dog Dash it was so fun. I found myself yelling in joy and laughing. My son loved it and so did my sister. We are not small people and it was comfortable to ride. (I love Disney for being fat friendly)

While in this area we also went on the Alien Swirling Saucers which only had a couple minute wait. This ride was fine, nothing special. Next up was Millennium Falcon Smugglers Run, Rise of the Resistance, and Mickey and Minnie's Runaway Railway. Millenium Falcon was pretty much walk and Rise of the Resitance had a 15-20 minute wait. The Rise of the Resistance is quite the walk/pre show to the ride.

We had no desire to go on Star Tours or Toy Story Mania (similar to Buzz Astroblasters) as we've done that plenty at Disneyland.

Rock "N" Roller Coaster was closed as well as the Indiana Jones Show.

Overall we got to ride everything we wanted and actually left a little early. It was still hot and humid (it's Florida in the summer) but without the sun beating on you it makes for a much more enjoyable time. I would do the After Dark again without hesitation.

This is for their guest relations customer service!

This team holds their standards high.

Had worse customer service at Animal Kingdom. But Hollywood Studios had no judgment, dealt with the situation as professional as they could. I commend Hollywood Studios Guest Services team for their professionalism.

Disney's Hollywood theme park is an absolute delight for fans of movies and magic. The original Tower of Terror is a must-visit for thrill-seekers, while the abundance of delicious snacks and shakes adds to the fun-filled atmosphere.
Exploring Star Wars land was a highlight, although it's worth noting that it's slightly smaller than its counterpart in Disneyland in California. Nonetheless, the immersive experience is sure to captivate fans of the beloved franchise.
Overall, my time at Disney's Hollywood theme park was nothing short of amazing. From the iconic attractions to the delectable treats, it's a place where dreams come true and memories are made. I can't wait to return for another unforgettable adventure!

A nice Disney Park with a lot of shows, movies and good amount of rides. For some reason it feels a lot smaller and has an outdated feel compared to the other Disney Parks. This starts from the entry sign and the area being less impressive than Magic Kingdom and Epcot.

Despite this they have a good amount of shows including an Indiana Jones Stuntacular, Beauty and the beast and two night time shows: one is a projector show in the china area and then Fantasmic which was an amazing water stage show. The rides were also fun with my favorites being the Aerosmith one and the Rise of the Resistance. The rise of the resistance ride is perhaps my favorite ride so far in all of Disney as it's super immersive. Overall a really fun experience here.

Hollywood Studios is probably my least favorite park at Disney World. It's not bad but it reminds me a lot of California Adventure.

The highlight to our visit was going to Oga's Cantina, I'm not a Star Wars fan but that was still pretty cool to me. Definitely check it out if you have time. Also, the Sci-Fi Drive in Theater Restaurant was a unique dining experience. You can sit in a retro car while watching a classic movie.

They have Hollywood Tower of Terror, which was pretty much the same as the old one at California Adventure except this one goes forward, while the one at CA would only go up and down. The Rock 'n' Roller Coaster was insane! It banged my head like crazy! Def avoid that if you don't want a concussion lol

Hollywood Studios is one of my favorite Disney parks. I love how it's on the smaller side so it's easy to walk to and from each section of the park. The rides and shows are great at HS, especially Tower of Tower, Rock n Rollercoaster, Slinky Dog Dash, Indiana Jones, Beauty and the Beast, and Frozen Sing along. Wait times can be long, as at any of the parks but because of the size, it's easy to hit a lot of the attractions.

I have to admit I do not make it out to the parks often. The crowds stress me out and I'm not a fan of waiting in long lines. However, my bf loves the parks so I wanted to do a Disney weekend with him for Christmas. We chose a nice, chilly day to go thankfully which made the lines slightly shorter and me less grumpy since I wasn't hot while waiting in them.

I can't remember the last time I'd been to Hollywood Studios, so lots of new to me stuff. The Star Wars area and Toy Story area are very impressive to see and nicely themed. My bf is a huge Star Wars fan and had never gotten to ride Rise of the Resistance or Smuggler's Run, so we made these first priority. The Rise of the Resistance line went pretty quickly thankfully and I have to give props to this ride; it was very well done and fun. We both enjoyed it. Smuggler's Run is a fun interactive type flying simulation with a Star Wars twist. Not good for those with motion sickness (me), but not as severe as what I experienced with Mission Space. If you don't get sick on these types of rides, it's fun.

I'd say the biggest annoyances about the parks are the high costs for things like food and beverages and of course the insanely long lines with their "pay to play" model of their fast pass or lightning lane system which if you do not partake, expect to spend a lot more time in lines. This kind of removes the magic from Disney for me. But, I can't argue that they are excellent at making entertaining and eye catching rides and regions that are definitely impressive and fun once you get past the the annoyances. The parks still bring joy to a line hating girl such as myself - in small doses.

Had a great time as always!

Crowds weren't as bad as my previous visit and had a great time exploring all the different themed areas.

My absolute favorite ride of the day was Star Wars, rise of the resistance! It was actually my first time on the ride and I was extremely impressed with the attention to detail and overall experience
