Clarence Loflin, DDS

It took me about a year to find a dentist in NYC after moving from San Francisco. I've needed a lot of dental work since I was a teenager (genetics ha) and finding a dentist I can trust that's nearby felt like such a daunting task. I'm so glad I trusted the great reviews I read about Dr. Loflin. I've been to his practice twice now. He and his staff are knowledgeable, kind, efficient and know how to the navigate insurance system. I also like that Dr. Loflin was not pushy with the treatment I needed and gave me options. As an added bonus, the Central Park people watching from the office is pretty great.

Glad I can check one more item off my to do list and hope this review helps anyone else new to the city looking for a dentist or anyone looking for a change!

Outstanding care from start to finish.

I had a bit of an emergency about a month ago that coincided w/my regular dentist's retirement. After extensive research, I settled on Dr. Loflin & I can't stress enough how great of a decision that turned out to be.

My experience began w/the lovely Jasmine who answered all of my questions & concerns when I initially called. On the phone & in person, I can't stress enough how amazing she is to the experience. To say she is knowledgable & pleasant is an understatement.

Then I met Dr. Loflin who also was extremely pleasant, explained the entire process in detail & took his time to make sure that my crown was perfectly fitted & that I was free of any discomfort. A first for me, Dr. Loflin also personally reached out the following day to check up on me & make sure that all was well. His attention to detail throughout the entire process was literally perfect.

The last thing I'll mention is the view. Top quality service & one of the best views in NYC from the dentist's chair make a visit to Dr. Loflin's office an experience. It might sound crazy, but the entire visit was nothing short of therapeutic.

When was the last time anyone said that about going to the dentist?!?

Dr.Loflin's and staff take care of me amazingly. Im 23 and have no dental insurance with a low budget, but the team always accommodates me by allowing me to do only what i can afford and breaking up my dental care into individual sessions. They do not upsell or do more procedures than necessary, and most of all its a clean, safe and extremely comforting environment. The staff never ever seem frustrated with my low budget or having to separate my appointments by what i can afford. They work with me and help so much.

They have amazing pain management skills and i have never been hurt or felt any substantial pain during procedures! Cleanings, and fillings have always felt like a breeze with them.

They even have windows that face central park which is beautiful.

They also have some cool technology that allows you to get fitted for nightgaurds without using that gross pink paste! Just a simple scan! It also gives you a 3D model of your teeth to keep track of your dental history.

Dr.lofflin is incredibly easy to reach via phone/ text which takes out the waiting game when in a dental emergency or even just to check to see if something isnt right.
10/10 would recommend.

My husband and I are in the medical profession and absolutely LOVE and RESPECT Dr. Loflin and his wonderful staff (THANK YOU Jasmin, Alma, Edyta - we miss you Megan & Rani). We've been going for years (14 and counting!) and refer anyone who asks to them :)

Dr. Loflin is such an honest and intelligent clinician. He sets an amazing tone for the staff who reflect his authentic and cheerful demeanor.
You never feel like they are selling you anything or trying to churn patients out. It's a relaxing but efficient visit every time. Clinical care is spot on, practical, and never excessive.

The new office location and views are spectacular and just icing on the cake hile gorgeous, doesn't feel pretentious at all. TBH, they could work in horrible conditions and we'd still be loyal to Dr. Loflin. He's truly one of a kind.

There are two experiences with Dr. Loflin i want to share that might be relevant for everyone:

1. Dr Loflin never rushes you into any procedure. My previous experiences with dentists in new york was bad, most pushing for surgeries that would get max out of insurance. Dr Loflin explained the situation and severity and then left it upto me to decide the timing. I never felt pushed into any procedure

2. After my last wisdom tooth extraction, i developed a dry socket. Dr loflin followed up regularly, making time daily to see me and messaging me to check how I was doing. This patient empathy is rare. With my last dentist I had to followup constantly to get appointment after surgery.

Also want to mention Jasmine and Abdulla in his office who have been fantastic to work with.

Dr. Loflin and his staff are so kind and caring. I was a walk in with a pretty urgent situation and they worked their schedule around to get me in the very next day!
The office was immaculate and the staff was so sweet, friendly and kind.
Dr Loflin is such a kind gentleman. He listened to my problem with compassion and understanding and what I thought was going to be a big ordeal, Dr Loflin came up with a super quick solution that fixed my problem on the spot.
This office is my NY go to for dentistry. PERIOD!

I lost my former dentist, but finding Dr Loflin through Yelp was truly my lucky day. He's very professional and pleasant (and painless!); his support staff is incredibly nice & friendly; their prices seem quite reasonable; the office is modern and sparkling clean --- and perhaps best of all, the exam rooms look out onto Central Park from the 2nd floor! It's a gorgeous and calming view when you most want it!

I found this practice on Yelp after my old dentist stopped accepting my insurance, and you all didn't steer me wrong. The office is nice and you have views of Central Park during your visit. Everyone from the receptionist to hygienist to X-ray tech to the dentist were super friendly and informative. Will definitely make this my regular dentist.

Dr Loflin is one of the best dentist I ever received care from. I did extensive research to find a dentist, I'm quite anal with my medical care and you def cant go wrong with choosing this provider. He gives the best care and Jasmine, she's a sweetheart!! God bless them both!!

I found Dr. Loflin through a referral from Dr. Jason Chubak, a wonderful endodontist. I was right to trust the recommendation - Dr. Loflin is an excellent dentist and the whole office is a pleasure to work with.

Dr. Loflin explains medical terminology in an accessible way (and with a smile), walks you through the logistics and costs of each option, favors a conservative approach instead of pushing invasive work, and perhaps most importantly takes patient feedback and experiences into account. I've found his dental work to be non-painful and speedy, including more serious procedures like crowns. And Dr. Loflin himself is a cheerful, reassuring dentist, which makes dentist visits a pleasure (not usually the case!).

The office is gorgeous, clean, and overlooks Central Park. Jasmine at the front desk is friendly and helpful, and has squeezed me in for last minute or emergency appointments.

If you have any dental work coming up, do yourself a favor and make an appointment with Dr. Loflin.
