Overall a great place to come for your teeth. Loved everything down to the simple details like the doc explaining dental fun facts and his procedure and equipment. Also who doesn't love a seat warmer on your very comfy chair you lay on for 30 + mins! See yall soon!

I've lived in NYC for 15 years and have struggled to find a dentist that I totally trusted. Too often in this city, dentists try to upsell you various procedures (e.g., fillings) or cosmetics (e.g., whitening) with pretty aggressive sales tactics. That isn't what I want from a medical professional.
And that's where Astor Smile comes in. I first came to them after feeling concerned that my dentist was just drilling and filling unnecessarily. After getting a second opinion from Astor, I learned that it was actually true - which was super frustrating.
So I am a big fan of Astor. They are real medical professionals and not salesy at all. They do great work and I trust them.

I have never actually looked forward to going to the dentist until I found Astor Smile Dental - a clean, beautiful, and hip dentist office. Their service is top notch, starting with the phone booking. They will call you 24 hours before the appointment to confirm, and the rest of the team is always so polite and sweet.

Dr.Jo is exceptional, she is so attentive, personable, and skilled. I felt really welcomed and comfortable from the start. Dr.Jo always gives great oral hygiene advice, and her advice has truly made a positive impact on my oral health. Today was my second time coming to Astor Smile for my mid year check up and cleaning, and I can say with full confidence that I will be coming here for as long as I live in NYC.

They're also taking great Covid-19 precautions. Cleaning regularly and ensuring all visitors wash hands and wear masks.

Highly recommend Dr.Jo and her team to anyone, this is truly the best dentist I've ever been to.

I've been going to Dr. Jo for the past couple of years and it's really changed my entire dental experience. I used to dread going to the dentist every 6 months (so much to the point that I would just not go) and went through at least 5 dentists in NYC before trying out Astor Smile Dental.

Dr. Jo and her staff are always very warm and welcoming. I am always seen promptly and I find that Dr. Jo takes the time to remember the little details from my previous visits and always makes me comfortable while I'm there! My teeth have never been better and now I can say I look forward to my visits every 6 months. Plus, the office feels super clean and high tech so it's definitely been comforting during my visits during the pandemic.

I've been seeing Dr. Jo for 7 years now! I never would have thought I would enjoy seeing a dentist regularly, but have been thoroughly satisfied with all of my visits here. I would give her 10 stars if I could!!

I love all the staff at Astor Smile Dental. Dr. Jo is the best dentist I've ever had. She is kind, thorough, and works with you to make sure she is supporting you to take care of your teeth and oral health. Today I arrived way ahead of my appointment (30 minutes!), but they were able to get my x-rays started while I waited for my cleaning with Dr. Jo. They have the most up to date equipment, and you can even enjoy the chair massage while getting your teeth cleaned. If you are searching for a new dentist, Dr. Jo at Astor Smile Dental is the best choice. (I had a fear of dentists for a long time because of mean dental hygienists who made me feel guilty about my dental health, and Dr. Jo has erased all of that.)

I have been going to Dr. Jo for over 5 years now and she is the absolute best dentist. She's great at walking you through everything - usually starts with your x-rays and then a breakdown of your dental insurance to see what's best for your pocket and of course getting you the healthiest smile. She and her staff are gentle and kind, and she loves recommending green tea, which is great for so many reasons including dental hygiene and gum health. When I got a new job I made sure to consult my new dental plans with her so that I can still come to Astor Smile (:

I've been going to Dr. Jo since 2015 and she's hands down the best dentist I've ever seen. Love the super clean space and the massaging chair, and the very artsy lobby! I can't believe I'm saying this but I very much look forward to seeing her and getting my teeth checked twice a year. Even though COVID has made everything challenging, being in her office makes me feel safe and welcome.

Dr. Jo is the tooth fairy IRL! Best dental cleaning/visit I've received to date in NYC -- she personally handles the cleanings from start to finish to get the most comprehensive understanding of each patient's dental health. Despite having sensitive teeth, I never felt any pain or soreness, and still came out of the visit with the cleanest teeth! She is thorough and meticulous in her work, and also emphasizes patient education -- something that is often missed in healthcare. In my case, Dr. Jo took the time to explain different procedures/problems to me (sometimes pulling up Youtube videos for better visuals), and ended the visit with dental health maintenance tips and a goody bag. Pricing for general dental check-ups & cleanings are affordable for both insurance and OOP.

More specific to COVID-19: masks and social-distancing while in waiting areas, shoe-covers upon entering the office, hand-washing and temperature-taking protocols, one-time use coverings for dental chairs, etc.

And lastly specific to patient happiness: Astor Smile's dental chairs are also massage chairs (10/10 recommend!!)

Dr. Rammal, Dr Jo and the team at Astor smile is fantastic! I've gone in for consults, cleaning, and procedure and have only had great experiences. I recently went in for a bonding procedure using the biocelar matrix done by Dr. Rammal and am so happy with the results! The procedure was quick and painless, and he completely fixed gaps between my two front teeth and on the lateral incisors, and made them look so natural. I'm SO thrilled with the results and highly recommend!!
